RED

Thomas smiled to himself as the red eyed woman made her way down to us.

"You were always one to make a grand appearance, weren't you RED?" Thomas smiled, eyes trained on the woman's form as she sauntered over to us.

I finally got a better look at her. She had long, green hair fading into magenta that reached her hips. There were old looking goggles strapped to her head, as well as a bandage type face mask that covered half her face. Her eyes were that crimson red color, however, one of her eyes had a darker red pupil that was shaped like a plus sign. She pulled down her face mask before speaking.

"Not necessarily, Thomas. I just like to cause a bit of unease within my next victims before fully revealing myself." We all froze when she said victims.

A small smile made it's way onto her face as she took in our reactions. "I'm only kidding. Come on, let me explain to you what my beauties can do." She pushed past us and towards the Wyvernets.

"She's. . .different." Jisung said matter-of-factly, his lips pressed in a thin line.

Nova leaned over to him. "She's not exactly human either. She is technically supposed to be dead, but I don't think that's for me to explain. I don't think I can explain it." Jisung nodded, but still looked confused beyond belief.

RED stroked the muzzle of one of the Wyvernets, a look of pure affection spread over her features. It seemed as though she cared more for the creatures rather than any human life. "My creations immediately bond with determined souls. I used willing volunteers to obtain the brain and heart for my beauties," She eyed us mischievously, a smirk plastered to her face, "Lucky for you, each of the volunteers are very easy to get along with. Had I used criminals or troubled persons, well, let's just say bonding with them would have been much more of a process."

I was, to say the least, extremely impressed and disgusted with the technical genius standing before us. She was likely the only one with her intelligence in the entire galaxy.

"You are all perfect for them because you are determined to complete your goal. Retrieving your lost comrades, as well as the bodies of the fallen ones. The task should be relatively easy if you work together with your Wyvernet instead of acting alpha. They are much more intelligent than you, so I recommend following their every action." She eyed the boys, her smirk turning down into a frown.

Minho, probably the most mature, aside from Thomas, of the boys looked righteously offended. "Not all of us are dimwits, Miss RED. Some of us have common sense." He glared at the woman, who in return gave him only an amused smirk.

"I would hope so, young man. Otherwise your Wyvernets are going to throw you into the depths of the ocean." RED chuckled, making her way around.  She undid the clasps holding the creatures in place. We all watched as they spurred to life, the black one roaring mightily and taking flight. The others followed, the green one falling behind slightly. It was likely something RED had added to its intelligence since it was the biggest and likeliest to protect the other, smaller Wyvernets.

Willow watched in awe as the gold and silver one landed right in front of her. The young woman startled, stepping back a bit as the Wyvernet inched closer, its pupils turning to slits. It revealed it's sharp teeth, it's eyes illuminating slightly.

"Calm now, Terrence. She is a friend, not a foe. She'll be your rider." RED snapped, her left eye turning a darker crimson than her other one. It was only then that I noticed there was a small plus sign as RED's pupil in her left eye. I was about to question it, however I was startled by the black dragon landing at my feet, its talons scratching the floors and leaving marks.

The green one had found it's way to Felix, and the orange one to Changbin. I heard Sammie yell triumphantly as she mounted the white Wyvernet. The creature looked a little confused, but stood proud and tall and Sammie clung to its metallic neck. Everyone seemed pleased with whom they had been chosen by, all except for the ones who hadn't been chosen.
