Arthur sheathed the sword as Max came sauntering over to join them at the remains of the table.
"Honestly, why do you guys always have to come in here, into ma club, and make some sort o' mess? Can't you just come in, chill out, have a drink, and shake your booty?" Max asked, almost sounding serious. Almost. But as Arthur heard the grunting of the Goliath, and turned to see it studying the long wound on it's forearm, all humour vanished from Max's face, and he strolled up to the huge creature. "Get the hell outta ma club." He ordered, pointing to the door. "I'm up for a brawl every now and then, but no one tries to hurt my friends." He stated firmly.
"How was I supp-" The creature began, but was cut short by Max once again.
"Out!" He exclaimed, and the huge brute grunted and began to drag itself towards the exit. Max turned to the crowds, who were still watching intently. He waved his hands. "As you were, my friends." He said casually. And just like that, the music returned, louder than ever, and the guests returned to dancing like nothing had ever happened. Max turned to Arthur. "My club's only a few kingdoms away, and it takes the tenth moon for you to visit?" Arthur chuckled quietly.
"An invasion of Seides would do it too." Arthur replied. Max grinned and held out a hand, which Arthur grasped firmly.
"How you doing, my man." Max stated, in a quiet yet friendly manner.
"It's great to see you, Max." He replied, happily.
"You clearly get some rough guests these days." Arthur turned to see Selenia walking to join them, and quickly stepped to meet her.
"Are you okay? He didn't hurt you, did he?" He asked worriedly, turning over the arm the creature had grabbed. To his relief, there were only a few faint claw marks. Selenia rested her hand on his cheek and smiled.
"I'm fine, Arthur. Really." She reassured him.
"I'm fine by the way!" Beta remarked, crossing his arms, and they all laughed. Max motioned towards a nearby empty table, and they all took a seat.
"Hey Jack!" Max called across the bar. There was a loud buzzing sound, and the familiar, hunched over insect flew through the crowd, still covered by his woolly jumper. "Grab us some glass's, will ya?" The Insect nodded, before buzzing back the way he came. Arthur sighed.
"Max, we don't have time for drinks." He said honestly. Max threw his arms up in the air.
"Is there ever gonna be a time when you do?" He said, as Jack reappeared, holding four glass's with his mouth tendrils. "Jack, fill em up. On me." He stated. Jack smacked the glass's down on the table, as the putrid, fluorescent green liquid began to spew from his mouth parts and into the glass's. Arthur glared at Max. "Come on. Even you like the Genie Soda, little prince." He grinned, grabbing his glass. Arthur glanced round, and to no surprise, Beta and Selenia had too. "Long live the Seven Kingdoms." He said proudly, raising his glass.
"Long live the Seven Kingdoms." Beta and Selenia said in unison. But before downing them, they all looked expectantly at Arthur. Even Jack paused to observe the scene. Arthur groaned. To hell with this. He grabbed his glass and raised it high.
"Long live the Seven Kingdoms!" He cheered. They all grinned at him, and even Jack gave him a wink before flying off into the masses. They all clinked their glass's together, and downed them in one, swift gulp.
