The Beginnings of an End

My  sister  ordered me  to  clean  the  attic today.  The  dusty  and  stinky  surrounding really  made  me  want  to  finish  the cleaning  fast.  I  can  tell  that  this  place was  last  cleaned  around  5  years  ago judging  by  the  thickness  of  the  dust  and the  amount  of  spiders' web  hanging around.  I  could  puke  right  now...

About  one  hour  then  I  finally  finished cleaning  the  attic. I  was  just  wanted  to take  a  shower  when  a  big  box  at  the corner  caught  my  eyes'  attention  with the  writing  on  it.  "Must dispose"  was written  on  it.  My  curiosity  cannot  be  hold  back  as  I  poured  down  everything. Then,  a  photo  suddenly  falls  out  of  the box.  I  am  shocked  when  I  saw  a  picture from  5  years  ago.  It  is  a picture  of  my sister  Hanna  with  her  best  friend,  Selena.

My memories play back in my mind of what happened.

5 years ago, in the neighbourhood of New Jersey, two friends were bound by oath of best friends forever. They were my sister Hanna and Selena. They were the very meaning of best friends. Our houses were only divided by one unoccupied house between us. They would always be seeing together 24/7 spending time like there's no tomorrow. They were seen as and many thought that this friendship would last to their last breath. I was one of them.

A couple of weeks  before  summer,  a new family moved in to the empty house. Hanna and Selena greeted them at that time.

"Hello there! Are you guys moving in here?" Hanna and Selena asked with a big smile on their face.

"Well hello new neighbours. Yes, we are moving in here from now on. Hope to get along with you girls," a middle-aged man with a beard said while his head is still in the car.

"What is your name?"

"Oh sorry, I forgot to introduce our family. We are the Jones. I'm David, that is my wife, Sarah and our son Bill," he pointed to his wife and son.

"Hello there. Pardon my husband forgetfulness. He is always like this," Sarah greeted them.

Hanna and Selena were just smiling with the wife's joke. They were happy that their new neighbour was a good one.

"Bill! Mind getting your hands here? We need to finish this before dawn,"

"Alright mom I'm coming," a deep voice came from inside the car.

A 5"6' tall man with a messy hair came out of the car. The sleep mark was still there. Selena and Hanna were stunned with the man's charismatic aura. Pointy nose, big eyes, square-shaped face perfectly tailored with a hoodie and a cap to match his charisma.

"Hey, I'm Bill. Nice to meet you. Hope to get along," said Bill while handing out his hand for handshake.

The girls accepted his handshake and he went to help his parents. Hanna and Selena left the scene after saying goodbye to the Jones with a big smile.
