The time felt like it was stopped.. or maybe because it was moving too fast. Hanna's shriek had sent all the boys flying in the cafeteria and crashed against the wall. Oddly enough, only the boys were affected by the 'force'. Hanna, Selena and other things there were unaffected. Hanna and Selena took this opportunity to escape. They ran away so far that the school was no longer visible. They stopped at a remote place near the woods.
"I don't think they would follow us until here. Guess we're safe for now, right Han-" Selena was slapped before she could finish it.
"What are you doing?!" Selena was shocked by Hanna's action.
"I should ask you that stupid! Why are you trying to take my place back then??" Hanna couldn't hold her tears from falling.
"'Cause I wanna protect my dear friend. You're more important to me than myself,"
"Why would you do that?"
"Our promise Hanna. The 3-si-"
"THE HELL WITH THE PROMISE!!" Hanna screamed.
"W-what's wrong?!" Selena was shocked hearing it.
"I'm such a pathetic friend. You're trying to help me 'cause of the promise while I've broken it. I don't deserve it,"
Selena was once again shocked. She didn't want to admit what Hanna said. She knew if she did, her heart will break into pieces. The leaves was rustling, telling that 'they' knew the truth. Suddenly, a black tall silhouette was seen by Selena in the woods. Out of the blue, Selena went into the woods without saying anything like being controlled. Hanna tried to call Selena but she didn't answer. She didn't have a choice but to follow her. Storm clouds could be seen gathering on the horizon before they entered the woods.
The path they were following was full of tall grasses. The muddy ground and dim light surrounding sent unpleasant vibes to Hanna. The tall branches have completely blocked the sunlight except for a few holes in between the leaves. The cold chill of air around them only make it worse. Even the phone's signal was not available. For myriad reasons, both of them never said anything during the walk. Then, they arrived at a clearing after about 15 minutes of walking. A mysterious statue stood in the open space. The statue has an ugly face on it along with a pair of wings. A sudden flashback occurred for Hanna as she recalled the things that have happened the last time they came here. The memorable event that unfolded here.
"Selena, why are we here? We have agreed on avoiding this place again," Hanna was already shaken by the look of the statue. It again seemed like trying to eat her.
"The truth must beest spoken. Thou has't breaketh the promise that wast sealed. Thee art guilty of the treason,"
A gruff voice was suddenly heard by Hanna. She was terrified by the disembodied voice. Selena's body then collapsed out of blue. The silhouette again formed in front of Hanna and she just standing there in awe or precisely in fear. Afterwards, the rains started pouring all its contents on their face and the silhouette disappeared.
Hanna finally got a hold of herself.
"Selena, wake up!!" she tried to wake Selena but to no avail.
Fortunately, the phone's signal was back like a miracle. Hanna called the police and their parents to inform them about their condition and location. 10 minutes later, their parents arrived with the police. Hanna told the policemen everything that happened even about the mysterious 'silhouette' and the voice she heard. The policemen were shocked when hearing it and began to whisper among themselves. Hanna felt weird about it but didn't want to spoil her mood even more. She just felt relieved they were saved.
