Backfired

School Crisis

     The  sun  had  raised  and  blistering  its  rays through  the  windows  at  Hanna's  room. An  alarm  clock  at  the  bed  side  was ringing  loudly  to  wake  the  occupants  of the  house.

"Hey  Lena,  wake  up.  We  are going  to  be la-"

"Five  more  minutes  Han.  I'm  super sleepy  right  now,"

"Fine,"

Hanna  went  to  kitchen  to  prepare breakfast  for  the  whole  family  like  usual. Then,  the  door  bell  rang  just  when Hanna  wanted  to  make  toasts.

"Coming!"  Hanna  replied.

     Hanna  opened  the  door  and  was shocked  when  Bill  was  at  the  door.

"Oh  Bill.  Why  are  you  here  at 6  in  the morning? Isn't  it  to  early  to  come  here?"

"I  was  just  here  to  give  the  breakfast that  my parents  made.  They said that this is our thanks for accepting us as neighbour.  The  pancakes  are  really  good  by  the  way," he  pointed  to  the  food  container  on  his  hand.

"Oh-oh Th-thank y-you so much! Tell your parents that we all appreciate their thanks. Really, thank you,"

"Okay okay,  I know.  Don't be so flustered. Bye," a smile crafted on his face.

"Bye...Bill," Hanna  waved  and  he  replied  back.

     Hanna's  eyes  were  still  staring  at  Bill when  he  went  home.  She  closed  the door  and  prepared  the  breakfast  with  the  Jones's  welcoming  gift.

     Hanna  told  us  what  happened  earlier  while  we  were  having  breakfast.  We  are  happy  to  see  Hanna  getting  closer  to   Bill  without  the  parents  intervention.  After  that,  Hanna  and  Selena  went  to  the  room  and  were  getting  ready  to  go  to  school.  Selena  felt  something  weird  about  the  way  Hanna  told  about  the  incident  earlier  and  asked  Hanna  about  what  happened  in  detail. 

     However,  Hanna  just  avoided  the  question  and  went  straight  to  school  without  Selena. The  situation  made Selena  felt irritated  even  more  for  her awful  attitude.  Hanna and  Selena  did  not talked  with  each  other  for  the  whole time  even  during  recess.

After  class,  their  classmate  Mina  approached  Selena  to  get  a  hold  of  the  current  situation.

"Hey  Selena.  What's  wrong  with  you  and  Hanna?  You  girls  are  not  like  your  usual  self.  There's  like  some  distance  between  you  two.  Had  a  fight?" Mina  asked.

"We  don't  Mina.  She  has  been  like  this  after  the  breakfast.  We  don't  have  any  kind  of  quarrel  yesterday,  if  I  remember  correctly,"

"Maybe  she  got  a  boyfriend?!  You  know  how  countless  times  she  received  a  love  letter?  Some  even  become  bold  and  just  blindly  confess   to  her  every  time  they  seen  her  this  entire  week,"

"What  the  hell??  Seriously,   they've  gotten  too  desperate   right  now,"

"Right?  I  just  doesn't  get  their  stupid ideas.  Did  those  scums  really  think  their  harsh methods work?!"  Mina  tone  got  a  bit  hard  all  of  sudden.

"Harsh??  What  do  you  mean  by  that  exactly?,"  Selena  asked  in  doubt  of  the  statement  given by Mina.

"Well,  actually... .  Wha-t  I  mean  with  that  is  they  drag-"

"Drag  what?!"  Selena's  voice  raised.

"They  drag-g-ed  Hann-na  to  the  back  of  the  school  by..  f-force..."  Mina  answered  with  stuttering  voice,  probably  afraid  that  Selena  might  hit  her.

"Why  you  didn't  tell  me  anything  about  this?"  Selena tries  to  cool  herself.

"Hanna  said  that  she  doesn't  want  you  to  worry  about  her,"

"Of course  I'm  gonna  be  worried  about  my  best  friend!  I  won't  be her  friend  if I  just  going  to  let  those  boys  hurt  her,"  Selena  shouted  louder  this time,  trying  to  defend  their  friendship.

"I'm  gonna  see her now," Selena  said  and  dashed  to  the  cafeteria  to  find  Hanna.
