“Were the hell were you guys?” Christie began yelling at Kyle
“We had to find Tom! I swear. Then we got a little lost.”
“Well don't go to far tonight. Ive got a surprise for you” she said and winked at him. He didn't say anything just got a grin on his face. I was still sitting in the car. I looked at the floorboard and found a bottle of whiskey. I knew it was for tonight. But after what I saw. All I could say was fuck it. I pounded about half the bottle and put the cap back on and tossed it to Tom as he was getting out of the car. It hit me really fast. It was 8:30 at night. Everyone started walking up to the hotel.
“You coming?” Jenny hollered to me.
“Ya ill be up in a few.” I slid into the drivers seat and looked around. I saw Sophie walking up to the car. I freaked out and threw the car in reverse and took off. I don't know why I did, but I did. I decided that ill go check out that hole again. This time I made sure I had food and beer and flashlights. I got to the pond and was surprised I got to the cave entrance. I could barely walk. I finally made it to the elevator. To pass time on the way down I checked my phone. By the looks of the missed calls and texts, they were not happy. I got to the bottom and those huge iron doors slid open. I stepped out in the room and the lights flipped on. But there was something odd about the room.
“Were the hell is the dragon and the cage?” I said to myself.
The room still had everything but the cage and the dragon. I was starting to think that we just saw the dragon. I walked around the cavern more and noticed a room near all the guns. I opened the door to find it was empty. “What the hell.” I said quietly. I heard something fall in the cavern so I went out to check it. The room was still empty. I looked around and over where the cage shouldve been looked like a metal platform. I walked over and found a switch on one side. I flipped it and you could here gears grinding and I started to slowly go down.
I was still descending when I started feeling really hot. Finally it stopped and I slid back a metal cage door and found my self in a hallway. It was completely empty but it was huge. It went straight ahead of me for what looked like 4 football fields worth of length. There were no doors but a set of double white doors at the end. One door had a little window on it and as I looked up something slammed against the door. I stumbled back but the doors didnt open. I looked back in the window to see a room full of teenagers. They were standing around in a circle and fighting. One kid, the kid that slammed against the door, was badly bleeding. No one seemed to care. I looked past them and saw a sign that said “Elevator”
“How many of those damn things are there?” I said under my breath.
The kid that was badly bleeding looked up at me. I wanted to duck but I just stared back at him. He didn't say anything or move. He just started looking back at the group. I looked around the room to see if I could see anything else but the room was completely empty. I tried to open the doors but they were locked and chains wrapped around the handle. I looked back in the window to see the group of kids looking back. They must've heard me trying to open the door. They started to run at the door but they couldn't open it. I ran back to the elevator and slammed the metal gate shut. And started the elevator. When I started going up there was a loud crash and I could see the kids running at me. They were to late though. When I got up to the cavern again the elevator started going back down. I realized that maybe the door was locked from my side to keep people out of this room. I quickly ran over to the explosives and grabbed a couple grenades. I threw 2 down the elevator shaft and after they exploded a column of fire shot out of the shaft.
I watched as the elevator fell down the shaft and the walls caved in on each other. I turned around to find myself facing the dragon. I didn't move. I wanted to scream and run. I decided I should just stay put. Its head was covered in black scales and the horns on his head were white. His eyes were a stunning color of green. The dragon didn't do anything it just stared at me. I wanted to put my hand out like they do in cheesy movies but I didn't want to lose it. The dragon walked away and sat in one of the corners. I causally walked to the elevator to get back up. When i got on the elevator the dragon followed me. It got in the elevator with me. I was so confused. I mean seriously. Its not every day a dragon gets in an elevator with you. Now all we need is the awkward family and the annoying elevator music. I laughed at the thought of it. The dragon twisted it head around and stared at me. I stopped laughing and just stared forward. When we got to the top of the waterfall the rock above slid open and we were standing above the water. I jumped off into the pond and the dragon was flying above me. This thin was like a stray dog.
I got in the car and raced back to the hotel. I didn't even bother to check my phone. I go to the hotel and was thankful not to find the dragon behind me. I got to my room around 2 in the morning. As i was walking down the hall to my room Sophie was coming out of her room. I was covered in dust and some parts of my clothes were singed from the explosion. She didn't even say anything. Just looked at the ground and walked past me. I sighed and opened my door to find Jenny passed out on my couch. I walked quietly to the bathroom and washed my face and I was looking in the mirror and noticed I had a cut on my side. I looked at it and there were more on my back.
“When did you get those?” said Jenny from outside the door.
“Your awake” I said and smiled at her.
“Where were you Kale?” she sounded annoyed.
“I had to do some thinking. Thats all”
"What happened to your back?” She said concerned.
“Nothing. Ill be fine. I just need to take a shower and get some rest”
She didn't say anything just sighed and walked away. I heard her flop on the couch and turn the T.V. on. I turned the shower water on and made sure it was warm. The water felt good but the gashes on my back stung in the water. 'How did it happen?' I was thinking to myself. When I got out of the shower I looked at them one last time in the mirror and cringed. I put a tall around my waist and opened the door and heard a scream followed with the door slamming shut to my suite. I ran out into the living room part and jenny was gone. I ran to the door and into the hall and no one was there. It was completely empty. I ran down the hall to the elevator and no one was there. I went back to the room and found Jenny's phone. A lamp was knocked over and a picture knocked off the wall and broken. I was freaking out. What the fuck happened. Jenny had just been kidnapped. Jenny's phone rang and the number was unknown.
“If you wanna see your friend again you'll stay out of the cavern. Don't evolve the cops or she dies. You can get her at the pond. You might wanna be quick. She wont be able to stay afloat for long.”
