Chapter 2: Job Done

"Jennie Kim?" I asked
"Yeah. Annyeong" Jennie replied

She's talking casually to me. I tapped my face a bit to check if I was dreaming. I blinked my eyes quickly and tried to sit upright trying my best not to look stupid. I'm pretty sure that this is not a dream.

"Hey, don't look too tensed, I believe I haven't heard your name?" Jennie took the seat beside me.
"I-I'm Y/n" I greeted
"Nice meeting you Y/n" Jennie initiated a handshake
"N-Nice m-meeting y-you too" I took her hand.

My nervousness is through the roof, I wasn't expecting to meet Jennie Kim in real life.

"Oh the kids are getting along" Mom chuckles
"Then click" Mrs. Kim took a photo of  us while handshaking
"Eomma,  please tell me Y/n and I looked good in that photo" Jennie looked at her mom with a smile
"You look like a cute couple" Mr. Kim complimented
"Appa, don't say that. We literally just met" Jennie chuckles

A few minutes later, the food was served and it was great but I didn't focus on the plate. I did some glances at Jennie but not too long before a stare. She was incredibly pretty up close.

We finished our dinner then both of our parents decided to talk in another room meanwhile Jennie and I were left at the table.

Only silence is heard so maybe I should talk?

"Uhm so hey. Congratulations on your successful comeback" I initiated
"Oh Kansamnida" She replied coldly
"My actions earlier? I was just acting so don't talk to me when it's just the two of us" She coldly said
"Sure" I replied
"Don't get the wrong ideas, Arasso?" Jennie looked at me with a cold stare
"I'm telling you now so you know what's going to happen. Both our parents seem pretty close right?" Jennie asked
"Y-Yeah" 
"They will force us to become friends, set up hangouts just for the two of us, all that shit because they have a mutual goal, a  business partnership if I must specify" Jennie continued
"So I will be around you a lot. Expect that. I won't enjoy it though but I do want to keep a good image for my mother so I want to propose a deal for you" Jennie crossed her arms.
"What deal?" I asked curious.
"Let's hang out to keep my good daughter image while I let you meet Blackpink. Sounds good don't you think?" Jennie looked away from me and back to her phone.
"I guess" I replied, not even thinking for a second

I mean I can get to meet Blackpink right? I was just kinda shocked about Jennie's attitude. I should not pay too much attention to it.

Our parents came back to the dining room, immediately looking at us.

"Y/n, are you free next week?" Jennie's mother asked
"Yes ma'am" I answered
"How about you hang out with me?" Jennie butted in
"Uhmm... Sure" I replied thinking about our deal
"So next week is a date" Jennie's father added
"Appa~" Jennie shyly smiled
"See you next week then" I bid goodbye
"See you, Y/n" Jennie replies

We then immediately left their mansion. I was thinking in the car, about what the fuck just happened.

"Y/n. Here is Jennie's number" Eomma gave me a piece of paper
"Oh, I see" I grabbed the paper and then put the number on my phone

I tried to think of what message should I send to her. Am I overthinking it? Before I even started typing, my phone buzzed, and received a message from Jennie.

Jennie Kim:
Psstt Yah! Change the nickname thing so our parents will not think suspicious

When I woke up I immediately got ready for the big day ahead. I make my way to the kitchen to grab a sandwich but Eomma is there

"Why are you such in a hurry?" Eomma asked
"For a job Eomma. Is there any bread and spread there?" I asked
"I already prepared your sandwiches since you always pack these in a hurry" Eomma gave me 3 sandwiches
"Kansamnida eomma" I hugged eomma
"Now go and don't forget to text Jennie. She is the girl I want you to marry" Eomma said making my eyes widen
"We just met Mom" I replied as I put my sandwiches in the bag while shaking my head
"Well, I think you completely fell in love at first sight" Eomma replied with a teasing tone
"I'll go now Mom bye" I said embarrassingly
"I saw a job opening at this address, I suggest you go here first" Mom gave me a piece of paper.
"Okay, I'll be leaving now" I put on my shoes.
"Take care" 

I took a look at the address. JN Cafe? I mean being a server sounds tough but I can probably do it. I've been working on our farm since I was 10, especially in the summer. Let's see if my hard work translates into being a cafe server.

I checked the large shop sign outside and looked around. It's in the middle of the city and by the looks of it, it's completely packed with people right now. I entered the cafe immediately taking my attention to the counter, I was surprised in seeing-

"Oh, Y/n! Welcome! You should put on your apron now" Jennie's father greeted
"Pardon?" I asked confused
"You're hired, young man. Come on let's get to work" Mr. Kim said with a big smile
"Really?" I asked again
"Yeah we kinda need another waiter because look at how many people are here" He pointed at the people
"Oh ok, no problem sir" I replied

Getting a job? I mean that was easy, I guess.

"Y/n, there is a special order for the VIP room" Mr. Kim called
"Right away, sir" I answered

I went to the VIP room with 2 coffee drinks in my hand. I was shocked by what I saw. It is ROSE AND LISA. Freak calm yourself down Y/n

"Oh Chae our order is here" Lisa said
"Oh Annyeong" Chaeyoung greeted to me

I put their drink on their table after that I was going to go out but Lisa talked

"You might get scouted soon" Lisa looked at me
"Me?" I stupidly asked
"Yeah, you look quite handsome" Rose added smiling at me
"Aniyo, anyways p-please enjoy your drinks" I left the room

When I exited the door. I can feel my heart beating so fast. I was dumbfounded, I met them in real life!

"Oh, hey excuse me. Is Rose and Lisa from Blackpink in there" A lady's voice got me out from my daydream. I turned my head and - ITS JISOO
"Y-Yeah" Gosh I am trembling
"Thanks," Jisoo said then immediately went inside the VIP room

This job might be too much for me.
