Chapter Two

Nikita's POV

I sat in third hour, watching the teacher teach everyone about the history of werewolves, I let out a sigh bored as hell. I saw everyone taking notes, but I didn't see a need to.

I was zoned out until a piece of paper hit the back of my head, and I see it came from Adrian, I picked up the balled up paper and opened it. It was a note, what are we, first graders? The note simply said, 'Don't think that Alex can protect you from an Alpha.' I rolled my eyes and wrote back, 'I don't need him to protect me from a puppy.'

I threw the paper as hard as I could, and I heard a deep growl from him, the teacher, Mr. Vancit, whipped his head around and spoke, "Adrian, is there a problem?" Adrian simply shook his head and I smirked to myself.

The bell rang, and I gathered my things and stood, getting ready to leave, but my stuff was knocked out my arms, like a movie cliche. I sighed deeply, to see Adrian hovering over me, his eyebrows raised in amusement.

I simply picked my stuff up and teleported to the door, "Please don't throw shit at me during class anymo-" I couldn't finish as I was pinned to the wall, and I huffed. "Adrian, I have no time for your childish antics." He just smirked at me, looking down at me with deep gold eyes.

"You want to leave so soon?" He spoke lowly, and it made me very uncomfortable, I teleported out of the room, to run into someone else, and lose my balance.

"Okay, what the actual fuck?!" I yelled, and someone grabbed my arms and pulled me up, I was met with gorgeous emerald green eyes, and I won't lie, I melted inside.

He laughed, "I thought I'd get a more of a warm response from you Niki." I recognized Alex's voice and I blushed, "Sorry Alex! I thought you were Adrian." I rubbed the back of my neck and Alex gave me his signature heart-melting smile.

I blushed more and picked my stuff up off the ground, and he chuckled "Come on, we'll be late." I tilted my head and followed him. I was in a daze and I didn't realize we left school. "Uh, Alex? Where are we going?"

He smirked, "I'm tired of school, and I know you are too, so let's go to my place!" He gave me the most innocent smile, and I melted right then and there. "O-o-okay..." I stuttered and he chuckled making me flush more.

I got into the passenger side of his car, and he started the engine, and he drove off. My mind was screaming, 'GET OUT OF THE CAR!' But my heart was yelling back, 'Stay, stay, stay, stay.' I looked at him, and he was focused on the road, I played with my hands, my nerves kicking in.

I slowly fell asleep. When I woke up I was in a room that wasn't mine, I sat up in the bed to see no one in the room, and jumped from the bed, my feet hitting carpet. "My house doesn't have carpeting...." I muttered to myself.

I left the room and walked down the stairs to see Alex, and I could feel the heat rush to my face, and I heard footsteps approaching the stairs, he turned the corner to see me, and he smiled "Niki! I'm glad you finally woke up!" I nodded and he picked me up bridal style and I squirmed.

He set me down on the couch and sat next to me, I pulled my knees to my chest, and I noticed my hair was no longer in a ponytail, and he was running his fingers through my silver/white locks.

"I've always wondered why one of your eyes were storm grey, and the other was crystal blue." He said, staring into my different colored eyes. I gave him a shrug, and I let my guard down. Bad move.

He put his finger under my chin and kissed me softly, my eyes widened, and I melted into the kiss, and he brought me closer by putting his hand on the small of my back.

We pulled away to breathe, and one thought kept running in my mind, 'What have I gotten myself into...'
