Killing Set: 3. Endings

It was Charlotte! God! I hate myself for kissing her back. But... I'm confused right now. I saw her as Diana and now...

"I'm here for you Set. I always am." I took a deep breath after hearing her voice. It's been three years since she was gone. I didn't think of her coming back to me. I am currently pacing back and forth while The Horus is following her eyes on me. Then I felt like someone's choking me.

"Stop... Charlotte!" I coughed when she stopped choking me with her powers. I touched my neck and felt my legs wiggle. I hold at a table to keep my balance. "What do you want... What did I do to you to be like that?" I asked her.

Instead of getting an answer, she pushed me back against the wall. Hitting me hard. I screamed because of the pain and just sat on the floor, embracing it. God, it feels like I'm going to die.

"It's my duty to kill you, Set." then her voice became a bit darker now. My vision started to get a bit blurry. No, not this lifetime.

I caught my breath and woke up in a library. I looked around and saw no one. "Help!" I shouted.

"Ironic, isn't it?" I heard Charlotte's voice again. Making me startle. I saw her shadow in a corner. She's walking towards me, "We're in the House of Lives. But you're going to die." I gulped after she told me that. Is this why she was gone after graduation? She's using her powers for the bad.

She started walking around me. Now I'm terrified. I thought this is all finished. After the Ra-thing.

"Senkhara fully took me, Set." she started talking now, "Since you betrayed her and you chose the Hathorian over her. You should be killed. I served her for three years with a single mission. To find you. And send you to her." she laughed.

"Say goodbye to everyone who's not here!" She shouted and laughed again. Then I felt something. Is this really the end? I haven't even seen Diana at the Reunion and now I'm going to die without Alfie and others knowing about this. My breathing started to become short. No, I'm not yet ready.

Jerome lays down on the cold floor of the library of the House of Lives. Charlotte-- now controlled by Senkhara, softly kicks lifeless Jerome on the his head.

Senkhara won. For thr first time, she won.
