Drew and I shopped for what seemed like hours..but in reality it was only about 45 minutes. 45 minutes filled with laughter and advice about food brands that is.
Being the gentleman that he is, he helped me carry my groceries to my family's house. I noticed as his eyes narrowed and his face molded into a look of familiarity.
I nudged at him, "What's on your mind?"
He simply shook his head and gulped
I knew something was up.
By this time we had arrived to the house and stood on the doorstep. I was fumbling with the key Uncle Keanu had given me and stumbled over as he opened the door looking down at me.
"The door is kinda tricky so I did you a favor." he chuckled
As his eyes met Drew's, a warm smile grew across his face.
"I see you've met Noelani she's-"
Uncle Keanu was interrupted by Katya as she rushed through the door and wrapped Drew in a tight and endearing embrace.
"Hey babe" she softly spoke and planted a kiss on his structured cheek.
Drew grew red and awkward as he wrapped his arms around her despite his hands being full of groceries.
I had a feeling this was just too good to be true.
I broke the couple's embrace as I practically ran into the house. I set the bags on the counter and went up to my room.
This boy I barely know cannot ruin this new move for me..I just started to finally warm up to this place and my new lifestyle..
Here's to another new beginning.
