"You had the cards choose them!?" Alfred shounted. He was angry, no he was confused, baffled, shocked. The king couldn't even describe what he was feeling. The others were in a separate room at the moment.
"You told me to have the cards choose anyone Alfred. Anyone." Conner spoke, taking sip of his tea as he watched his blind brother pace around the throne room. The man himself was lazing around, watching from his brothers thrown.
"I-I...Ahgh. I said next meeting!" Alfred shouted, turning to his little brother who didn't seem to care about the situation at hand.
"And that would have met another month of suffering for you Star." Conner explained. Alfred froze. He was right, right in so many ways. With a sigh and a thought, Alfred turned towards his little brother who started right back.
"Checkmate." With a smirk, Connor disappeared.
