I was dreading this trip from the moment my mom had said we were going. Camping was not my ideal version of a vacation. I would rather be at home where I could sit around watchin Netflix like a potato. Now the day to leave was here, and I was slowly packing for the two weeks torture of "family bonding". I couldn't help thinking about what laid ahead. There could be a slight possibility I could have a bit of fun. I could only hope that this trip won't kill me.
My thoughts were interuppted as my pest of a brother, Max, came barging into my room. At eight years old he was a proffesional at pushing my buttons. As Max touched all of my things even after I yelled at him to stop mutiple times my mother decided to enter the room as well. Could I just pack for this dreadful trip in peace?! Of course not. My control freak of a mother began rummaging through my bags and packing them herself. Frustrated, and ready for the trip to be over before it even started, I stomped around my room making sure my mom knew I wasn't happy.
"Mom! I think I can pack my own bags! I am 16 afterall." I groaned. Without even glancing at me she continued and said, "Amie, your bag was a mess, your like a mini tornado! You should be happy I'm packing your bags." I glared at her and walked out of my room. I guess I should be happy she's packing my stuff. I walked down the stairs, to see my dad dragging his and my mothers bags out of the house. Im suprised my mom doesn't have more than two bags! She pacts for any type of weather, disaster, or event. She can be a little crazy...
The sound of feet stampeding down the stairs was my cue that all the packing was done and it was time to leave. My mom handed me my bag with a smile, "There nice and tidy. Try to keep it that way." Ha! That's like asking me to become a whole new person! I walked out the door and put my bag in the car, taking one last look at my house I got into the car. This trip is going to suck...
We were barely out of the neihbourhood when Max decided to start doing what he does best, be annoying. To drown him out I put my headphones on and began listening to 5 Seconds of Summer.
