Between the Trees

Chapter 2

When I said walked away I really meant limped. I'm sure it would have been a lot worse if I didn't have the human cushion to land on. I sat next to a tree, and observed my wounds. I had several cuts scattered along my body, and a bruise forming on my thigh. This will be fun to explain to my mom and dad. Groaning I stood up and continued on my journey home.

Approaching the cabin I heard my family laughing, and my brother winding throught the trees with my mother and father chasing after him. If this is all we had to do during this vacation I have no idea how I'll make my way through it. I walked into the cabin and into the bathroom to take a shower and treat my cuts. I stepped into the warm and steamy shower, and let myself relax. I steped out and got into searched for my pajamas.

"Okay... I know I out them on the counter..." I mumbled to myself. I continued seaching with no luck. I wrapped the towel around me and walked to my room to search. "Where is my suitcase?!" I whisper yelled. I began to panic, my clothes were gone! I went into the living room to find my family sitting on the couch.

"Mom, dad, do you know where all my clothes are?" I asked, looking at them worriedly. They both looked at me with weirded out looks.

"Why would we know where your clothes were? I brought them into your room on your bed. We didn't touch them after that." My dad said.

"What about you Max?" I said accusingly. He looks up from his comic book with the most evil smile I have ever seen. I knew he dd something with them. Which scared me because he is evil, his pranks have no limits. I ran towards him, grabbed his comic book and held it in the air. Yes I'm only 5' 2" but I have long arms.

"Good luck finding them." he said as he pulled out another comic book from the side table.

"Tell me." I glared at him. He just smiled, continued to read the new comic book.

"Here, I'll give you a hint. Check the trees and the lake area." He laughed an evil chuckle. I throught the comic book at him and stormed off but my mandels on and going out in the cold in only my towel. My brother will pay.I looked around as I stepped outside hoping there is no one in the area. I began my voyage to the lake and looking around paranoid that someone will see me. I looked in the trees on my way. Almost to the lake I spotted some denim on a branch high up the tree.

"Crap!" I couldnt climb that with this towell! I would just have to come back once I find my underwear and bra. I once again continued walking to the lake. Once I reached the lake I began looking for my suitcase or any scattered clothes. Out about 80 ft from the beach area I saw my suitcase floating in the water. I took my mandels off and through my towel on a rock and jumped in.

"Ah!" I screamed on impact. The water was freezing. I began to swim towards my suitcase, closer, closer, and closer, and finally I touched down on my suitcase. Pulling it along with me I lmost reached shore when I heard someone yell, "Hey buttercup! Can I join you?" I turned towards the voice to see the guy I fell on earlier taking his shirt off and jump in the water. My eyes widened to the size of plates. I began swimming away faster. He was already almost to me. Why the hell was he so fast? I was running out of time so I thought fast and hid behind the suitcase.

"Don't come any closer!" I yelled at him. He stopped swimming and smiled at me.

"What not princess?" He asked slyly.

"Well first of all don't call me princess my name is Amie, second your a stranger and I don;t even know your name!" I shouted frantically.

"The names Jonas" he said while flipping his hair and ended with a wink. "And we don't have to be strangers, we can get to know eachother." That whole time I was two messmerized by his face to notice he was coming closer and closer.

"How do you suggest we get to know eachother?" I asked.

"Like this!" He lunged for me, which snapped me out of my trance. I screamed and grabbed the suit case. Hugging it to my body.

"Why are you running? Have some fun!" He splashed me and grabbed the suitcase on the other side. "Why do you have a suitcase anyway?" He asked curiously.

"mybrothertookmystuffandthrewitinthelakeandiwasintheshowersoihavennoclotheson!" I said like a race horse on crack.

"Wow wow wow... slow down there speedy!" He said. "I caught shower and no clothes on. Which I am fine with by the way." He said, once again smirking.

My cheeks basically lit on fire when he said that. I repeated what I said but slower and he laughed. laughed! Who laughs at that! "You jerk it's not funy! So since I tolf you go away! I need to get dressed." I ordered.

"Okay okay just for you my princess" He laughed and began to swim towards the beach.

"I am not your princess!" I yelled but he just laughed.

I began to swim back when I saw him reach the shore.reaching the shore I quickly grabbed my towel and wrapped around myself. I unzipped my suitcase grabbed my Victoria's Secret matching underwear and bra. Hey don't judge it makes me feel pretty. Then got a shirt. I slipped it on and went on a search for those jeans. I climbed up the tree grabbed them and clilmbed back down. I put them my legs through them. While I was just about to slip them past my hips, they went up by themself. I turned around to see Jonas. "Thought you'd like some help?" Once again I blushed, but pushed him off me."Not interested." I turned around and walked away. "Come on Buttercup, I saw you blushing! You can resist me! I'll be back Aims." He said. I looked back and he winked and blew me a kiss then walked away flipping his long brown hair.

Then the butterflies erupted throughout my tummy, I went home thinking about everything he said, and the words 'I'll be back' repeating throughout my mind.
