After the long day of traveling I was exhausted. Which could be considered kind of pathetic now that I think about it because I just sat in a car all day. Either way I was ready for bed, quickly changing into more comfortable clothes I drifted off into a much needed dream.

I woke up the next morning way before anyone else. Unsure of what exactly I should do I walked outside of the cabin and into the woods. Even though I had not wanted to come on this trip I was delighted to hear the happy chirping songs the birds sang.I shocked myself because I was enjoying the outdoors more than I thought I would have. The rustling of the tree branches as the wind just barely brushed past their leaves. The beautiful colors and shapes of each leaf on each different tree, I was mesmerized. I lost myself in my own thoughts as I wandered around the forest listening and looking at everything.

After walking around aimlessly for about ten  minutes I came up to a glorious tree. The leaves weren't really leaves, but pine needles that painted the floor a dark green. I am not really sure what made me so attracted to this particular tree but after looking at it for a few minutes I had an amazing idea to try climbing it.

Climbing wasn't so hard, I thought I was doing pretty well as I focused on my footing. Being sure to only step on branches that could support my weight I slowly made my way up. The further I went the less I paid attention to everything below me. I was extremely excited to get away from the world down there.

Becoming lost in my own thoughts I stopped making sure the branches were able to hold my weight, boy was that a mistake. Before I could think twice my foot broke a branch and I was tumbling down.

Falling...

Falling...

Hitting every branch possible, cutting up every inch of my body.

Suddenly my body stopped falling. My hang made contact with something that felt squishy. My back landed on something with a not of cushion. I couldn't help thinking that pine needles felt a lot like... Like..

I realized I hadn't landed on pine needles. Afraid to open my eyes I began to feel around what I had landed on. My hand came into contact with..flesh. Warm..hairy, human flesh. I gasped and scrambled to get up. Unfortunately that required moving my body, which was already unbearably sore. Trying my best I managed to swing my leg enough to roll off of whoever was underneath me. Just my luck, I accidentally kicked the poor boy underneath me right in his jewels. He grunted and hunched over covering where I had just kicked him.

"Oh!.. Oh my!.. I a-am so sorry! I.. Sorry."

I didn't know what to say besides sorry. I repeated myself at least fifty times before I realized they boys shoulders were shaking. I MADE HIM CRY!

"Please, please, I'm really really so sorry. Don't cry, I'm s-sorry." I began to stutter my own words as I watched his shoulders continue to shake. My own eyes watered at the thought of causing someone so much pain.

When I finished stuttering out my apology the boy looked up, not a tear on his face. I was extremely confused to say the least.

"It's.." He busted into a fit of giggles. "It is really okay, please just quit apologizing"

I felt my jaw drop and my eyes widen. This guy, who I landed on after just falling out of a tree, was.. Laughing. I would expect anger, or hurt, or even a what the hell to come from his mouth. I was utterly and completely wrong.

"You should close your mouth before you catch bugs in there."

I snapped my jaw shut blinking multiple times. "A-are you okay?"

"Well its not every day a pretty girl falls on me from out of a tree."

Blushing at the sudden compliment I avoided eye contact and fiddled with my hands in my lap.I didn't know what else to possibly do so I got up, wincing as I did so because of my aching body, and walked away.
