Rey:

It's morning when I feel the light breeze that hits my face. I open my eyes to see a small fan circling the room that I've been sleeping in for the past couple of days. I get up out of the small cot to turn the fan off. I want to slash the fan into pieces for making me cold but eventually, I refrain.

"I sensed you were awake. How are you this morning?" Ben walks into my room with a jacket for me to wear over my night clothing. A young woman about a few years older than myself comes in with two trays of something to eat. I'm guessing that the trays are for Ben and me. She sets them down on a table and leaves us. "Come, sit and eat, you must be hungry." I nod and sit with him. Silence fills the room as for myself, not knowing what to say after the events that took place the day before. Remembering the creature's at the end of the cliff on Ach-to when I take a sip of the milk that was given to me. Then, remembering some of the things that Master Luke told me when I trained. The things he told me about Ben.

"Is there anything I can-" I start, he interrupts me.

"I meant what I said yesterday." He takes my hand and squeezes it slightly enough to put some pressure on.

"I know you did. But where do we go from here? Is it going to be like this every day from now on? Not speaking to each other, eating with one another ignoring our feelings? You need to tell me what is going on." I talk to him in a straightforward manner. That catches him off guard. He wasn't expecting that. A pear flies through the air over to Ben and he cuts it in half, returning it to me.

"My grandfather used to do that with my grandmother before he turned to the dark side." He smiles as I eat the pear, enjoying it as he is enjoying the face I have as I eat it. As I eat the pear I realize, he will do anything to avoid answering my questions.

"Please Ben, tell me! You can't keep ignoring this forever!" His smile fades and his face turns serious. He knows I am right. He looks me in the eyes.

"That still doesn't mean I won't try. I will do anything to protect you, even keep secrets." His quiet words chilled me to the bone. I couldn't tell if it was in a good way or not. I could feel his fear was strong. I hated to see him trying so hard to block the thoughts from his mind, yet I still tried to find it. I needed to know. I would have thought that if Ben cared about me so much, he would open his mouth and mind for me. He wasn't letting me in though, he was stronger with the force.

"Let me in Ben. You can't protect me forever. I must know."

"No! Rey listen. You shouldn't have to hold the burden of the truth!"

"Ben, I can handle whatever it is. As long as I know, we can get through it. Give in Ben, GIVE IN!" I walk over to the opposite side of the room. Standing there not knowing what else to say.

The force was strong and flowing between us. I could feel the spark of electricity and douse of heat between us. It was different this time. Ben walks toward me in a fast manner, pushes me up against the wall and kisses me. More electricity and heat finds its way through our bodies as he deepens the kiss. Within seconds, there is yet more heat, moving up and down my neck and then back to my lips again and again like he's retracing his steps within the last few days of me being here. Like he's kissing every place he's wanted to touch from my face. He stops kissing me for a moment to finally speak. "You want the truth?" I nod my head rapidly. The moment I've been waiting for. "I love you." I'm weak when he says this, wanting to faint. But I don't I feel his hands slip around my back to give me support. We just stare at each other wanting to go back to before. Now nothing will ever be the same.
