What was taking Ben so long? Was everything alright? I stood up from the wooden crate and started walking in the direction Ben went. I barely took two steps before I was frozen in place by a voice behind me.

"Hello, Rey..." I spun around quickly and saw a woman sitting on the wooden crate I was just sitting on. She was tall, almost as tall as Ben, she also had short brown hair. Her most prominent feature was her brownish golden eyes. I went to grab my lightsaber, only to realize that Ben had it. I was unprotected in front of a mystery woman. I looked over my shoulder to see my staff leaning against the far wall of the base. I held out my hand, the staff came to it and I pointed the staff in her face.

"Who are you and how did you find us?"

"I didn't need to FIND you... I just needed you to exist. You see Rey, you and Ben are what is known as a dyad in the force. It means that you two have a natural connection. That is why you can see him and he can see you, even when you are planets apart. Natural dyads are rare, but artificial dyads are done easily. No matter where you go, anywhere in the galaxy, I will find you."

"Why are you here?"

"For you."

"Why would you want me?" She stood up from the crate.

"I am here to reunite you with your family. You have always wondered where you came from. Spending all those years on Jakku, waiting for your family, only for them to never come. It's not that they didn't want to come, it is that they couldn't. So I have been sent to bring you home."

"Who are you?!"

"I am your family. Not biologically, but my parents were killed and your grandfather took me in. Rey, your parents are dead, they are the ones who put you on Jakku all those years ago. Your grandfather is alive though, and he wants to bring you home, just like how he took me in. Come with me, I will take you to him."

"No!" I pushed my staff closer to her face, but the woman didn't react. "I have all the family I need here. Even if I didn't, I would never trust you." She smiled.

"It's Solo, isn't it? Does he know about the darkness inside you?"

"You're lying."

"Back on the island, when you were training with Luke. You were tempted by the dark side of the force, it called to you. Luke warned you not to give in, but you did anyway. Ever since then you have had the dark side in you."

"You are wrong!"

"The cave of mirrors on Luke's island? You know how you found it. Don't lie to yourself, the dark side called... and you answered" I slightly lowered my staff.

"Why are you doing this?"

"I told you, I am here to bring you home."

"Who is my family?"

"Wouldn't you rather find out yourself?" My staff had never been so close to her face.

"I said. Tell me who my family is." She giggled.

"Oh Rey, you are so stubborn. If you really want to know, I guess I could tell you. You are Emperor Palpatine's granddaughter." I dropped my staff at that sentence.

"No, that isn't true... you are lying!"

"I can prove it. Test yourself, you have force lightning just like your grandfather. Push yourself over the edge, I can show you." She stepped closer to me. "Rey, you were born to be on the dark side. Palpatine can teach you, he can show you ways of the force that you would never have learned on your own, just like he showed me." She held out her hand, just like Ben did to me...

"You're working with Palpatine, I will never go with you." She shook her head.

"If you aren't going to willingly come with me, then I am going to have to force you to come with me." She grabbed her lightsaber, igniting the red blade. I went to grab my staff, I knew that a big wooden stick wouldn't be a match against a lightsaber, but it was better than being unarmed. The woman must have had the same idea because using the force, she threw my staff across the room. I went to grab my staff but she brought her saber down, causing me to dodge.

"REY!" I heard Ben yell down the hall. I looked up to see Ben around the corner and come eye to eye with the mystery woman. The look on his face was unexpected. Ben ignited our lightsaber. She smiled, disappearing in front of the two of us. Ben retreated the lightsaber and rushed over to me. He helped me get back onto my feet. He pulled me into a tight embrace. "Are you okay?! Are you hurt?!"

"I'm alright. What about you? You were gone for a long time!"

"I am fantastic knowing that you are okay."

"This is crazy."

"Yeah, I think we need to have a conversation about what just happened."
