Izzy's POV
That's when Clary snapped, lunging at Kaelie "Shut up", she growled, her voice full of venom, "I cared about him, you just wanted a one night stand". "Liar!", Kaelie shrieked "I care about Jacey". That's when Clary drew her seraph blade. "Gabriel", she hissed her blade illuminating the lines on her face illuminating the dimly lit diner. Kaelie jumped back, reaching for her dagger, which was apparently behind the counter. I wonder what her boss would think about an employee with weapons kept in the store and provoking a fight. I grinned, pulling out my phone, I managed to catch Kaelie grabbing the dagger and lunging at Clary. I smirked, hopefully Kaelie would be fired, and that would teach her not to pick on my best friend. I stopped the recording and emailed it to Kaelie's boss. He owed me a favour anyways, I had gotten him a date with his dream girl, they had gotten married a year later. Izzy the matchmaker, that should be my title, not Isabelle Lightwood the Shadowhunter.
I sighed, I had to stop this fight before Kaelie died, I didn't care about her, but Clary might get in trouble. My best friend may be hot headed, but she's still my best friend. I put on my best angry voice, "Kaelie", I bellowed, everyone in Taki's turned and looked my way, "Stop attacking my Clary!". "You heard her, let the red-head be", some guy I'd never met piped up. Once Clary and Kaelie re-sheathed their weapons, I turned and went over to the guy, "Thanks for before", I said, "Yeah, thank you", Clary piped up from behind me. "No problem", he replied. He pulled out a card from his wallet and handed it to me, "here's my number", he winked, "Call anytime". "I will", I promised him. "He was cute", Clary whispered when we returned to our seats. "Yeah, he was", I looked at him again, he was busy ordering, my gaze wandered over his long, blond curls and rested o his firm features. He suddenly stood up and came over to the two of us, "I forgot to introduce myself", the handsome man before me said, "I'm Eric, Eric Cloudsoar", "Isabelle Lightwood", I said, returning his friendly smile.
