Lucy was already up by the time her owner opened his eyes.
She prounced around the kitchen, her dull claws clicking against the tiled-floor, her long ears slapping against her head as she excitedly bounced around, pouncing on imaginary prey.
The male twoleg lifted his covers off of his body with a sigh, lines beginning to crinkle around his head as he stared at Lucy with dull, tired eyes. He slowly flipped around, his foot connecting to the floor as he leaned forward, preparing to get out of bed.
In that instant, Lucy jumped at him, she pawed at his foot excitedly, nipping at his toes and his fuzzy blue sandals, letting out yips of joy. She rolled around on the floor, her body flinging against the cold tiles. But she didn't care anyway.
"Get up, lazy, boring twoleg!" The dog barked, teasing her sleepy human.
"Thats enough now." The male said softly, his large, but gentle hand rubbing against the head fur of the young, excited dog.
Lucy gave a greatful yap, a sound resounded in her throat, deep and long, almost like a purr. She brushed up against the man, rubbing her fur against his leg as she let out a pleasurable growl.
"That's enough, sweety. We'll go outside at 3:00, if that'll help calm ya down."
Lucy bared her teeth and growled playfully, her brown eyes squinching up as her ears flopped up, loose fur flying from the flaps. "All right human! But be quick about it! We go when I say I go! And I say now!"
Even though he couldn't talk or hear Lucy's words, the human knew this wasn't a serious threat. Lucy was too kind to threaten or boss another dog, let alone a human- this was just a little 'display' of her 'strength' and 'dominance', a show off. Every once and a while the dog would flash her tiny white teeth, prancing around and acting as if she were the queen of the house- well, not on his watch.
The man reached down to pat Lucy, the skin on his hand once more brushing up against Lucy's soft, long fur. He stood up abruptly, dissapearing out of the room quickly.
Lucy blinked, raising up a hind leg to scratch her fur. Her claws tangled up against her brown and white fur repeatedly, pulling out tangles and knots, removing a tiny tick that had nestled in her hair. She let out a small, dissapointed moan. Life was a bit boring here. She was hoping that she could make her move- the ultimate plan.
The dog lept onto the window sill, her eyes moving and unblinking as she stared at the horizion, bright oranges clashing against purple as the sun rose high into the sky, a great ball of fire and light.
