Angie

"Okay ma'am, so you said the same kidnapper who abducted your older daughter tried to take your younger one? How can you be so sure?" the police officer asked me the next morning.

"Because I am!" I boomed. "What's up with you police officers? Even I can see he's the same one trying to take people's children all over town."

"Alright, let's calm down. Now usually when a parent's child gets kidnapped, they call the police station frequently. This is the first time you're calling since Carla was abducted. Are you not concerned about her?"

"Well.. I- Yes! Of course I am. She's my daughter. But I left the situation of her being missing in your hands, which you should have dealt with by now."

The police officer took a deep sigh before speaking, "Alright. We're doing what we can to find your daughter and the kidnapper. But please keep in mind that these situations aren't easy, and you can help out too."

I rolled my eyes and stood up, "I'm going to be late for work, shall I show you the door?" I fake smiled.

"Yes, thank you. I apologize the the inconvenience. Have a good day." he said.

"Mhm." I mumbled before shutting the door in his face.

Carla

"So, Marina." I said emphasizing her name. "Still gonna go through your plan to get us out of here?"

"Yeah. Let's just wait until 6:00, and if he isn't back, I'll start." she said. "Though I'll need some tools..."

"Like what?" Candace sighed while rolling her eyes.

"Hm, bobby pins, hair bands, something sharp.."

"Well I can help you out with something sharp." Brandi said with an evil smile on her face.

"Alright.." Marina said slowly. "It's 6:05, let's do this.

All the girls began taking out their hair clips, bobby pins, and pony tails, handing them to Marina as she started her work on the lock.

"Here you go." Brandi said handing Marina a sharp tooth cleaner.

"Where the hell did you get that?" I asked.

"I stole it from the dentist." she said with a smirk.

I rolled my eyes and turned my attention back to Marina, who was concentrating on that lock like her life depended on it.

"Alright girls, get ready to get out of here." Marina said finishing up her work.

"Aren't you the lucky one." Blaire scoffed. You've been in here for less than twenty-four hours and you're already getting out.

"I have my ways." she smirked opening the door, leaving all the girls with their mouths hanging.

"Damn girl, that's like a hefty lock." I grinned, as she smiled back.

"Well what are we waiting for? Let's go!" Marina said leading the way.

"I can't believe I'm saying this but," Candace sighed, "I'll kinda miss your sarcastic puns and jokes."

"And I'll miss your lame jokes overall." Brandi smiled, giving her a playful punch on the shoulder as Candace rolled her eyes.

"You two are finally getting along." I said as Brandi approached me.

"Please." she muttered.

I followed behind Brandi and the other girls with a giant smile on my face. Out of no where, I just started running, and everyone followed behind me. I was happy, I was free. I felt unstoppable.

That same day I said goodbye to Brandi and my new-ish friends, (The 'ish' should be on friends actually) and went straight home. I was so ecstatic I could cry. Once I got to my door step I rung the bell with anticipation running though me.

My mom opened the door with Amy in her hand as a gasp escaped from her, almost dropping the child.

"Hey mom." I smiled.

Peter

"Would you like some breakfast dear?" my mother asked as I made my way down the stairs.

"Uh, sure. Maybe just a little. I have to head to work."

"You mentioned you had a job, but you never told us what it was, son." my dad said looking up from his newspaper.

"I- I thought I did." I stammered. "I'm a.. salesman! Yeah. I mentioned I sell random things to random people."

"Oh.. So where's this sales place?" he asked.

"Oh it's... It's pretty far. Like two towns over- In Westbrook..."

"Well alright. As long as you're making good money." my dad smiled putting his attention back to the news paper.

"Yes, you should hurry up and find a place of your own. You're gonna be twenty-three in a couple of weeks." my mom said as she set down a plate of scrambled eggs and bacon at the table.

"Don't remind me." I muttered sitting down.

"Your face is healing up nicely. How are you feeling?" she asked.

"Um, better." I lied.

"I still can't believe you got such a gnarly scar from falling on a side walk." my dad scoffed.

"Yeah, well I did." I huffed.

"Well I'm gonna be late, I better head off. Thanks for breakfast mom!" I said giving her a kiss on the cheek and rushing out the door.

"Bye honey!"

I headed to my car and quickly started it up, making my way to check on the girls. I know I'm keeping them hostage but I should at least get them some food.

As I parked in front of the abandoned building, I slid my Ray-Bans glasses over my eyes, so those girls knew I meant tough shit.

Once I made my way to the front door, I noticed that the lock seemed kind of jiggly. I shook the door a bit and it slowly creeped open.

"What the hell.." I said to my self. "I know I locked this real tight before I left."

I walked into the room and dropped my brief case on the ground, as my mouth hung open. The room was empty. I could hear my own echo.

"Shit." I muttered.
