A/N - Carla did a little change up with her hair ;) I put her old look on the left and her new look on the right. Enjoy!

Carla's POV

"Happy Birthday dear Carla, Happy Birthday to you!" My new family sang in unison as I blew out my 15th birthday candles.

"Thank you guys." I smiled warmly as everyone calmed their clapping.

"My best friend is finally 15! I'm so happy, I love you C." Brandi said while hugging me tightly.

"Aw, thank you B. I love you too."

"Cake time!" our fake Victoria's Secret mom butted in.

Us five girls went in the recreation room to eat our cake while Frank and Catherine ate in the dining hall. Yeah, hall, not room. It's that big.

"This is probably the best birthday I've had in years. Sharing it with my best friends. Thanks again guys." I said, my mouth stuffed with cake.

"No problem Carls." Blaire smiled.

"I don't mean to ruin a great moment but.. I realized the whole kidnapping thing kinda blew over for us. Of course we still miss our families and always will, but no one's found us yet, so don't you guys think this was meant to be? I mean, it's not so bad after all." Candace spoke.

"I kinda agree. I mean, she did care about me, but I haven't missed my mom's coming home drunk every other night or not even coming home at all." Blaire said.

"And I haven't missed my mom not letting me eat ice cream for dinner and staying up late watching cartoons." Marina added.

"Um, you're getting the wrong idea here Marina. I think that was just your mom being a good parent. Besides, you don't eat ice cream for dinner or stay up late watching cartoons here anyway." I smirked.

"Well I surely don't miss public school. Home school is so much better, I don't know why I never did it before! There's no bitchy hormonal teenagers snapping at you, or the presence of stupid dick-wad ex-boyfriends." Brandi replied with a pleased smile.

"I second that." I giggled. "I mean, I'll always miss my mom, but I just feel like if our parents really cared, they would've found us a long time ago. Plus Frank and Catherine are okay. They don't let us out of their sight, but they're normal people who just want a happy life."

"It's not like we'd know where to go even if they did let us out their sight." Candace muttered.

"True." we all said simultaneously.

"On a lighter note, I'm totally in love with my hair. It was so cool of Catherine to let me dye it purple. My mom wouldn't have let me done this in a million years." I changed the subject.

"Hell yeah, I'm digging it Carls. Purple really suits you." Blaire said.

"Are you girls ready to open presents?" Catherine beamed in the doorway.

"I know I am." I jumped up with a smile.

Brandi's POV

"Mine next!" Marina exclaimed passing her present to Carla.

Carla smiled and began opening the gift. "Oh, no way! A mani-pedi set? Marina you shouldn't have."

"Now we can give each other manicures and pedicures!"

"Thank you, kiddo." Carla said as she ruffled Marina's hair and pulled her in for a tight hug.

"Oh, hold on. I left my present for Carla in Candace's room, I'll be back." I said as I stood up and left the living room. We hid all Carla's presents in Candace's room because no one's allowed in there without her permission, and she gets pretty scary when we invade her privacy. So we don't even try.
