Rules Don't Matter

Chapter 1

*Flashback*
May 18, 2008

   I was in my room playing with my dolls, I heard my parents arguing over something, I decided to eavesdrop because I wanted to know what's going on.

   "You are seriously leaving us for music?!?" My mom yelled.
   "I'm sorry Janice but is my job! I need it to make money!" Dad yelled.
   "How about you get a new job! Not something that will tear us forever!" Mom yelled.
   "I'm sorry Janice, but if you can't let me do my music, we can't be together!" Dad yelled.
   "Go leave!!!! Nevvvver come back!" Mom yelled.

   Dad just slammed the front door behind him. I was sitting on the stairs. Mom was coming upstairs and I immediately ran to my room. I started to cry. Dad is never going to come back. Mom walked in.

   "Honey what happen?" Mom asked.
   "I accidentally poke my eye with the doll." I lied. I didn't want my mom to find out I had listen to there conversation.
   "Awe sweetie. It's okay, also meet me downstairs for dinner, we're gonna talk." Mom said.
   "O-okay mommy." I said.

   Mom left the room and I bursted into tears again. I couldn't believe my mom just let dad leave without thinking. I'm never going to see dad again.

   It was time for dinner, I recovered from all the tears I cried. My mom was holding a paper. I sat down and ate my food.

   "Okay honey, we going to have some rules okay." Mom said. I knew dad wasn't coming but I had to act normal.
   "Um Mommy, where's Daddy?" I asked.
   "He's at work sweetie. Now rules. I had added a few more rules so listen carefully." Mom said.
   "Okay." I said.
   "First, no more music." Mom said. My eyes widen. But I just said.
   "Okay, next?"
   "No Dancing." Mom said. I was about to spit out my water I was drinking.
   "Last, no more boys in your life, they are just a distraction, I'm enrolling you to a all girls school." Mom finished. I thought my heart had stopped. Doesn't mom know most of my friends are boys.

  I finished dinner and went back upstairs to my room. I then cried in my pillow till I fell asleep.

Also not following the Coco movie from Disney, I didn't even realise that part.
