Aeren let out a horrified yell, 'YOU ARE GOING TO RIP ME IN TWO!' He cried, and they both let go, scrambling backwards towards their own groups.
He let out a startled groan, before shaking his head and resting a hand on each of their shoulders.
'Look, I have an idea..I will spend a week with each group.. And at the end of the two week mark, I will choose which side I want to be a part of.' he said simply.
Both sides looked uneasy about sharing him, but they both looked at each other, and the leaders of the little groups came to the agreement, before nodding and shaking hands.
'Deal.' They said in sync, and he sighed in relief. 'I will start with the North, since they welcomed me first..' He told them. Hayley smiled brightly, 'Great!'
'Lyla, I believe that we will see you off.' Lester said hastily, and she waited, her eyes meeting his, before she turned to walk away.
Aeren stood there, his legs growing weak and tired under him. He sighed, before hopping off the ground and onto the back of his car's hood.
'So what is so special about you Northern kids anyway?' He sighed, yawning.
'Find that out tomorrow, we will send two of our side over tomorrow morning and they will lead you over.' Lester said calmly, before turning and looking at his patrol, 'Let us allow this boy-'
'Er my name is Aeren--' He cut in awkwardly.
'Let us allow Aeren to settle into his new house and we will see him tomorrow.' Lester corrected, before smiling and leaving with his group.
Aeren let out a long whimper before dragging himself inside to his mother and sister bickering.
'Where were you?!' His sister, Kelsey growled. Kelsey was 18 and always bitching about whatever she could find wrong. He grunted, 'Picking a side, Lesley.' He replied, giving her a dirty look and turning to walk up to his new room and begin to unpack.
