We switched off the dim light, she lay her head on my shoulder as we continued holding hands. I loved it when she caressed her fingers on my wrist. "Have you noticed we have so much in common?" I asked her.

"I can't stop thinking about that, it is a little scary for me" she oddly replied.

"Scary?"

"Yes I mean, it almost feels like we have been raised together, had similar experiences in life and hence we are so alike. Such a conjoint environment was created in our lives that we had to meet at this point of our life where we want similar stuff too maybe. Scary because, if we were meant to be, then where were you all this while? Scary because, if we get used to each other so much, what if we have to fall apart at some point? How do I survive without you if I am habituated with you?"

"Yes but why do we have to be apart? You're saying as if I am trying to run away from you and ditch you. I am not going to do that ever. Don't be scared Siya, I am there, now and forever"

Siya couldn't say anything. She seemed a little mystified. I had to break the quietness.

"So, what do you want to be?" I deviously asked her.

There was a sudden lucid burnished light in her eyes, maybe for a curious question I thought. "So, as you know I am going to be a fashion journalist. I have worked my way very hard to reach here, and now I want my education to get its fair due by giving it back to the society. I have travelled around Europe, and realized there are many organizations who are working for some African and South-East Asian countries for providing shelter to the ones who don't have much. Lack of clothing has never been considered as a calamity, but in reality it really is. In countries like India, people barely have a single cloth to cover them for the entire year, and these people suffer heavily in winters and monsoons. I want to document the lives of these people and show the world this deleterious side of life that has been ignored because clothes are not ineludibly a prerequisite" she finished, as I was dazed at her thoughts. Such compassionate words and sensitive attitude engrossed me more.

"That is a great thought Siya

"That is a great thought Siya. I mean I had no clue about this side of yours. I always thought of you as a sharp gregarious female but I had absolutely no trace of your life agendas. This is really great"

"Yes I mean apart from the fact that my ideas and aspirations change every now and then, this is one particular thought that has stayed for the longest. Don't be so mesmerized with me, I am hallucinogenic" she chuckled.

I had a little laugh on my face, she turns, "Tellme about your plans"

"I don't know if you know this about me, but I am a school dropout." I began. She smirked and furnished out a little yell, "What? Are you serious?" "

"Will you please let me continue?", she muted herself henceforth. " So yes, a dropout, however, I feel I have done a pretty decent job with my life as of now. I was given a camera when I was 17, a distant relative of mine who worked for a big lens company gifted me a fairish camera. And I have been clicking ever since. My school had some cultural exchange program in central America where I clicked a picture of a mother milking her children and working at the same time. I don't really remember why I clicked it, maybe it was a little uncanny for the child in me then. Anyway, that picture got picked up and I got really famous in my circuit. I was given some cash as a token of appreciation for this as well. I got carried away, dropped out of school and thought of winning many cash prices for the various pictures I could click. If I were in school, the exploration and photography couldn't have happened I thought. Ever since, I have been touring in Africa mainly for photographing several tribes that needs attention. A lot of talented people out there who needs to get documented and shown to the world for their talents" I ended.

"Wow!" Exclaimed Siya. "You have been on your own since years now, which is commendable Dev. I barely meet people today who are so committed and wants to do stuff for the society. I love you all the more now" She hugged me after saying this. It was a mild side cuddle but she said she loved me for the first time and I won't forget that moment ever.
