I lied down face first on the bed, just trying to clear my head. The door opened, and I could tell it was Jon, but all he did was open a drawer, take some stuff, and leave without a word, slamming the door.

I continued to push my face into the pillow, trying to calm myself.

Eventually, I decided to get ready. I picked out a cute sundress, although I don't wear dresses a lot. I left my hair down, and curly. Don't need to impress anyone, anyways.

Grabbing my phone from my bed, I left the room. I didn't see Jon anywhere, so I started to the door.

I stepped outside, breathing in the cool breezy air. Sometimes, fresh air is just what you need.

The parents weren't home yet, so I had no idea where the picnic would be. They should be home soon, though.

I sat down in the grass, thinking over everything. I regret yelling at Jon about silly things, but I can't help it. He just gets on my nerves.

"Holly, honey, you're going to get your dress dirty." I heard my mom's voice.

I looked up, and she was walking to me, smiling, "Stand up, your going to have dirt stains."

I stood, groaning, and checked my dress. Thankfully, no stains.

"Are you and Jon ready?"

I shrugged, "I am, I'm not sure about Jon."

"Oh," she seemed disappointed, well, were about to head out. I guess his mom is going to get him, and we'll head to the picnic site."

"Alright." I wait.

Soon enough, Jon and his parents walk out, along with my dad. And, as expected, Jon's wearing his t-shirt, as I stand in a dress. Unbelievable.

Rolling my eyes, I follow the adults, walking to whoever the site is. Jon walks silently beside me. Neither of us speak for the majority of the walk.

But, after about five minutes of just hearing our parents jabber about random things, he speaks up, "This is retarded."

"You don't have to talk. I rather you just keep your mouth zipped."

"Maybe I wanted to talk." I retorts, being his stubborn self.

I look at him, "Right, I forgot, you can't keep your mouth shut. Ever." I cross my arms.

He rolls his eyes, as we continue walking, and I just continue staring at the path ahead of us.

Finally, the parents stop us, and there's a picnic table, and a blanket on the ground, both with food on it.

"Since you two are young and not old and fragile like us," Jon's mom says, earning laughs from the others, "You both sit on the blanket, we'll take the table."

Of course.

Jon and I obey without arguing, knowing we'd end up here anyways. As we sat down, Jon took his plate and began filling it already.

"You fat pig." I spit out.

"At least I don't look like a fat cow." he mumbles back.

I bite the inside of my cheek, swallowing what I really want to say to him, about how stubborn and stupid he is, "Whatever."

Jon and I eat in silence, giving each other glares every now and then.

"You two are adorable!" My mom gushes, making us look up at her.

I shake my head.

"Your children are going to be the cutest little kids." his mom adds.

Jon chokes on the water he was drinking.

"How's the house coming along? Is it nice?" They ask us random question.

"Uh, yeah. I think it's coming together nicely." I answer.

"That's great, are you guys going to get pets?"

"No." I answer, but Jon answers, "Yes."

I give him a glare, and he returns it.

"We want a kiss!" one of the two says, and Jon and I look at them together.

"Yes, please kiss for us, we want a picture." my mom brings out her phone.

I roll my eyes, and Jon lets out a huff, "Do we have to?"

"Yes, come on, now." his mom says, holding her camera up.

I look at Jon, we've kissed before, this should be no big deal.

He comes closer, leaning in, and I go to meet him halfway. Nervously, I take a breath, waiting for his lips to collide with mine, but it never happens.

I hear Jon start speaking so I open my eyes, "No, mom, I'm sorry, but I cant." He stands, "This is stupid."

"I thought the picnic was a good idea." his mom says, looking mine for approval, and she nods.

"No- mom, not the picnic, I mean this whole thing. Marrying Holly, this is retarded. I don't want to marry her!"

I hear the two gasp, and the dads just stare at him as he speaks.

I can't look at him, staring at the ground, my heart breaking.

"She is so stubborn and annoying. I can't stand it. I just want to go home and pretend none of this ever happened. I want to find my own girlfriend and love her. I'm better off without Holly."

My eyes start getting glossy, and I try my hardest not to cry.

Jon storms off the way we came, as everyone looked shocked.
