first day back

"Steve!"
Steve turned around from his locker to see Tony running down the corridor towards him, a cheeky smile on his face.

"Tony!" Steve shouted back as he ran towards him full pelt.

They crashed together in a heap as laughs shook them, it had been ages since they saw each other as Tony was stuck in some exotic country for the entire holiday. Steve wasn't bitter of course but it got a bit boring without his wingman. Not that it was a problem, Steve had plenty of friends around the school and outside it but none of them were Tony.

"How have you been Stark? I missed you." Steve hit Tony on the shoulder affectionately.

"Not too bad, oh hang on" Tony checked his phone, "aw man I made the mistake of giving my number to this hot chick I met but she won't stop messaging me."

"Oh that's kinda cold man." Steve laughed.

Tony was lucky, he was confident and attractive so he could have any girl he could choose. Steve was always amazed how quickly Tony hopped from one girl to another. As much as he wanted to, Steve couldnt bring himself to use girls like that.

"Speaking of, has that Peggy chick given you any notice yet?"

"Well, urm..." Steve blushed

"Trust you to fall for the only girl that isn't interested." Tony laughed.

Steve opend his mouth to protest but was cut off by the bell.

"See you at break Spangles." Tony walked away, his arms crossed behind his head nonchalantly.

Steve rolled his eyes, Tony must have seen the photos of him is those American flag shorts from the pool party. That little nickname wasn't going away anytime soon.

First period was maths then English, both lessons that he didn't care for much but was weirdly decent at. Then a small break followed by biology and geography then the long awaited lunch.

"Hey Banner, what's up." Steve smiled as he set his tray down at their normal table.

"Eh, not much." Banner shrugged.

"Don't bull shit me dude, I heard about the fight with Loki. It's the first day back man, you need to chill out."

Steve placed a caring hand on his friends shoulder, he felt like a mother to these guys in a weird kind of way.

"You know he is out to get me!
He just pisses me off so much!" Banner clenched his teeth.

"Just ignor, he's just spiky cause of his family we all know how it is and Thor is trying to get him to be nice."

Banner was such a nice guy but push him far enough and he turned into an asrsehole and somehow Loki knew all the buttons to press.

"You are better than him," Nat sat down next to Banner, "and you have all of us, who does he have?"

"I guess..."

Tony came next, a punnet of blueberry's in hand followed quickly by Thor, Clint, and others but Steve barely noticed. He was to engrossed in thinking about what to do with Bruce.

Then the bell went, time for P.E.
