All throughout the drive back home, Steve couldn't get his mind off Bucky. There was just something about him, something wounded and it just made Steve want to look after him. Sighing loudly, he pulled into his driveway but his stomach dropped.

There was a blue car already sitting there which only ment one thing, his mum had company. Opening the door quietly, Steve instantly heard his mother laughing accompanied with a deeper male voice.

"Steve, is that you baby?" Steve's mother shouted from from the living room, her voice a little slurred.

"Yeah mum, it's me" Steve rolled his eyes.

"Come in here."

Steve opened the door to the living room to see his mum tangled with a tanned guy who had his face buried in her neck.

"Can you get us some dinner for later?"

"Mum, I told you I had a huge project to do. You've had all day."

"Well I've been doing stuff!" His mum said defensively.

"I'm stuff." The tanned guy lifted his head from kissing Steve's mums neck, "Get lost kid, she's got stuff to do."

The man grinned as he pushed Steve's mum back down on the sofa and lifted  her skirt. Steve let out a shout of disgust and ran out of the house as quick as possible.

It was nearly dark when Steve decided to go back, he hoped the guy in his house would be gone and he could finally get some work done. Quietly opening the door, Steve slid into the house and dumped the bags on the kitchen counter.

"You're such a good boy."

His mum slid down the stairs dressed in a lacey little night dress that was a little too sexy for her son to see. A cigarette stuck to her smudged lipstick.

"Mum I wish you wouldn't smoke in here, you know I need to keep my lungs good for sport."

"It's my house I do what I want." His mother narrowed her eyes at Steve, "be a good boy and make us dinner."

Steve let out a grunt of frustration, "you know I have that project to work on can't you do it for once. Or get one of the guys you keep having over do it. I notice that they don't hang around very long after they got what they wanted."

Steve knew what he said was mean but it was also true. Ever since his dad died, his mum had been trying to fill the hole and now she was making her way through every guy she could find.

"How dare you," Steve's mum of the cigarette from her mouth and stood toe to toe with her son, "you don't say things like this in my house."

She slapped Steve on the cheek, it was an open palmed hit that left a red stinging hand print behind. Steve barely flinched, he was starting to get used to it. Tears began to well in the corners of his mum's eyes.

"Oh baby, I'm so sorry..." She wiped her eyes making the masscara smudge, "you know since your dad died-"

"Yeah I know mum..."

Steve had lost his appetite so started upstairs.

"By the way I'm having a party at the weekend so can we get some booze in?" He said over his shoulder.

As soon as he was safely behind his closed bedroom door, Steve dumped his bag on the floor and sat with his back against the wood. Pulling out his phone, he admired the red hand print swelling up on his face. Steve felt sorry for any guy who tried to screw with his mum, she had a mean ass slap.
