I sat there during science
drawing away in my sketch book the only way I can wind down or de-stress after a long day. I was rudely interrupted by a harsh tap on the shoulder. I turned and glared intensely at the person who would dare interupt my precious calming down time.

The teacher, Mrs Basi, said "I hope that you are drawing something related to what is on the board and please put that scowl away." She walks off and sits down at her desk "The project is due on the first of September so that is in 4 weeks and you won't get any extra time because the day after we are off to the camp."

Ugh I thought, I hated the camp it is always the same place every year and we don't even get to do anything cool like rock climbing or camping under the stars.

"The project is a group project and there will be three in each group."

She paused and waited for the class to calm down as they were already putting themselves into groups.

"Actually this time I'll be putting you into groups." She ignored the groans and went to the class list and began twirling her finger around and her finger landed on one person after the other until she had made all the groups.

"The groups are... drum roll please... (a few kids started banging on the desks) Group 1 Mayfield, Randeree and Mertsch
Group 2 is.... oh how funny..she chuckled to herself. Group 2 Kalder Blight ,Joslyn Blight and Celina Blevine.

No!! I thought to myself .

How? How out of every single person in this class I get stuck with the two people that I have been trying to avoid. Oh well this can not be helped. Let's begin project impossible.

We worked on the project in the library after school every day. Until it was the weekend then we went to my house. We were given the journey to Mars as our topic. We worked on it for 2 weeks straight and it was finally done and I guess over those two weeks we had grown closer together and the best thing was that neither of them brought up Square Moon.

We started eating out lunch together most of the time it was in absolute silence. I was developing my own little pack of friends. Rachel also occasionally joined us for lunch.

I wondered to myself was what the teacher did on purpose putting us in a group together, you honestly never know with teacher.
