Chapter Four-
Niall POV-
Why did he look so angry?
"Niall, c'mon! We need to go to the football field!" Liam yelled from across the hallway.
The rest of the afternoon went by without a problem, no Zayn in any of my classes. I wasn't sure if that was a good thing or not.
I ran to Liam, excited to be able to try out for the football team. I loved football, watching matches every Saturday with my dad.
"Are you sure that the team will like me?" I asked, shyness seeping through my voice.
Liam laughed, acting as if that question had the most obvious answer in the world. "Niall, calm down. They will love you. You're super likable." He winked at me, making me blush and look down. Liam was undoubtedly handsome, so having him wink at me made me giggly for some reason.
"So Niall," Liam trailed off, letting those two words hang in the air.
"Yes Liam?"
"Are you gay?" He suddenly blurted out, his cheeks tinting pink for the first time since I've known him.
I blushed, but nodded anyway. I found out I was gay at the age of twelve. I didn't understand why I would only stare at a sweaty Zac Efron during High School Musical, while all the other boys stared at Vanessa whats-her-face. I finally went to talk to my mom one day after a horrible experience on the playground by our house. One boys pants fell down and I couldn't stop staring. He then called me a sicko and I ran home. My mom told me that I might be gay and I did research on it. I was indeed gay. My parents were fine with it, saying that they loved me for me, no matter what gender that I like. I was grateful for them, knowing that they supported me throughout anything.
Liam grinned, throwing his arm around me and winking. "Looks like today is my lucky day." And with that he was off, running to the football team since he was captain.
Liam lended me a pair of shorts and a tank top to practice in, them being big enough to fall down every couple of minutes.
Practice lasted two hours, sweat pouring down my face and drenching my, Liam's, clothes.
"Wow Niall, I'm impressed. I think you just made the team!" Liam laughed, hugging me from my side and making me blush yet again.
"Thank you Liam, my dad taught me." I smile shyly at him, watching him look at me and smile. His body was covered in sweat, drops rolling down his chest. He took his shirt off long ago.
"It sure is hot out here." Liam commented, wiping his brow before turning back to me with a mischievous smile. "You must be burning out here, with your shirt on. Why don't we just take that off?" He smirked at me, my cheeks past red at this point. Take off my shirt? In the open? In front of him?
"C'mon Niall, you'll be cooler." He whispered in my ear, his fingers playing with the hem of the tank top. I blushed, not sure what he was doing, but I was hot and Liam said that if I took the shirt off then I'd be cooler.
