Magnolia was gone...no one to be seen...all but a lone Dragon Slayer in the remains of his home
Damian begins to regain consciousness.
He slowly begins to stand, the various pieces of rubble rolling off his light red sweater.
His memory was a little fuzzy, but he clearly remembered the beam of light that-
‘Wait!’
He looks around him frantically only to see nothing but empty space around him.
What happened to his home? What happened to his friends?
He begins calling out to them as he runs through the empty landscape.
"WENDY! SIS! NATSU! CAN ANYBODY HEAR ME!!!”
He continues to yell out in desperation, a look of despair become more and more apparent on his face.
“This can’t happening, it just can’t! GAJEEL! MISS ERZA! GRAY! SOMEONE PLEASE! DON’T LEAVE ME ALONE! I DON’T WANT TO BE ALONE AGAIN!!!”
He collapses to his knees, tears falling one after another.
To think that he'd have to suffer loss all over again…
At the moment it seemed like Damian’s train of thought was right.
The world could never be this kind to him...
Damian was alone...
Damian was…
Damian…
“Damian.”
“Huh!?” Damian looks up to a tall man in a dark blue cloak standing over him.
Damian immediately gets into a fight stance ready to attack in the man turned out to be hostile.
“W-who are you!? How do you know my name?! Wait...are you the one who did this!? Where are my friends!?” Damian was on the verge of attacking this masked man.
"Calm down, I am not your enemy.
I am Mystogan, I'm also a member of Fairy Tail." Mystogan shows Damian his guild mark calming Damian down a little.
He wiped the lingering tears from his face as he tries his best to regain his composure.
Mystogan walks to him holding something in his hand.
As he got closer, Damian started to get remember something everyone told him.
“You’re that Mystogan, the one who puts everyone to sleep when you show up at the guild?”
"Yes, but we don't have much time left to talk." He says.
Damian looked at him in confusion.
"What are you talking about? You haven't told me what's going on yet!” Damian says surprisingly sternly.
Mystogan hands Damian a red ball shaped pill."I don't have time to answer all your questions, but for right now just eat this".
“I'm supposed to take strange things from strangers…” He says looking at the pill suspiciously.
“It'll help you use your magic again.” Mystogan says causing even more suspicion.
“What are talking about I can use my magic just- Huh!? I can’t use it!” Damian tries to form water on his hands repeatedly only for nothing to happen.
“Now take this.” Mystogan says bluntly.
Damian takes the pill from his hand and stared reluctantly at for a bit before swallowing it.
He tries to form a claw again, only this time he does it successfully.
"Alright I can use my magic again! So, now what?" Damian asks.
Mystogan explains the situation quickly and tells him about Edolas and the lack of magic power and how Damian’s friends were turned into Lacrima except for the other Dragon Slayers.
“They’re okay!!! I so scared I lost them all!”
Damian says in relief.
“So before I send you there, do you understand what I've told you to do?” Mystogan asks.
Damian nods to confirm his comprehension the situation, "Yes, I'll try to find Natsu and Wendy and try to release everyone from the Lacrima, hopefully I'll run into Gajeel somewhere".
Within a moment in a flash of light, Damian suddenly finds himself standing in a forest.
"What just happened"?
Damian looks around only to see nothing but trees.
"Okay, I'm in a strange forest with no one around and no food or water.
Not any different from when I was traveling.”
Damian has had a lot of experience fending for himself in the outdoors so he already had an idea of what to do.
First, he needed to see if there was any towns of some kind around.
He starts climbing the tallest tree he could find to get a good look around and once at the top he scans around to see a town in the distance.
"Looks pretty far.” He looks up in the sky to see where the sun was at the moment.
“It's past Noon here, well if I get going now I'll get there in maybe two hours, an hour and half if I pick up the pace.” He climbs back down to and ground once he was done searching.
He begins taking off his sweater and then ties around his waist before stretching.
‘I'm gonna find you guys, I promise!’
“Alright, better getting walking” He starts his walk towards his newly found destination.
