I walked cautiously towards Lawrie. He had his back to me, packing his bag with books.
"Um, Lawrie?" I said suddenly. He startled and banged his head on the locker. He turned around, his face a storm. I took a smart step back.
"What do you want?" he asked rudely.
I rolled my eyes. Typical.
"Um, you - you dropped this" I held out my trembling hand with the note in. Her peered at the note for a split second. He snatched it off me so sharply it teared in half giving me a paper cut.
"Idiot!" he seethed and began to walk away.
Suddenly, a rush of anger waved over me. Who on Earth does he think he is? God's gift to the human race? I hate him. I hate him.
"No wonder you don't have any friends" I mumbled quietly. But Lawrie heard me.
"What did you just say?" he asked stonily. I wasn't scared of Lawrie Johnson. I wasn't scared of him at all. Just because he was about one or two inches taller than me doesn't mean I was afraid of him.
"I said that: No wonder you don't have any friends, you horribly ignorant and always in a bad mood to everyone, the biggest shock and surprise would be if you smiled, well, it would be more of a surprise than if you dropped down dead in front of my very own eyes" I said.
His pale blue eyes went dark and his face became flushed. His ran his hand through his hair, shook his bangs away and said.
"You're pathetic Charlie Murphy, you really are, just mind your own business, just leave your beak out" and stormed off, leaving me stranded in the deserted hall.
I walked out of the school, pulling my grey wooly bobble beanie hat over my ears. Kate has already left me.
Kate was my best friend and had always been since Year Two. It was now Year Eight. My long springy hair was escaping my hat so in the end I just pulled it out. I walked over to the bike shed and pulled out my blue bike, swung my rucksack over the handle bars and began to ride home. I plugged my earphones and listened to my favourite band, 5SOS.
I wish that I could wake up with Amnesia.
Forget about theses stupid little things.
I approached my house and unlocked the back gate, parking my bike against the wooden fence, then hurried inside. Only Mum was home. Dad was still at work. I didn't have any siblings.
"How was your day honey?" she asked,, handing me a plate of dark raisin cookies.
"Good" I said, biting into one, chewing on a raisin "How was work?"
"Oh well, I'm not supposed to enjoy work, sweetie" she replied.
"And I'm supposed to enjoy school?"
Mum laughed, as if I was joking. I really wasn't.
"Mum?" I asked.
"Yes honey?"
"Can I go and ride on my bike?"
"Of course, be back by 6!" she called after me. I pulled out my bike from the garden. The rain had stopped and the sun was threatening to peek through the clouds. I knew where I was going to go. There was this small deserted garden with Jasmine flowers and forget-me-nots on the edge of the coast. I rode there, pedalling as fast as I could. There was the place I used to go. I lay my bike down gently outside the gate. I creaked open the gate. But there was someone there. A boy. A dark haired boy. A blue eyed boy.
"Lawrie?!"
