Notes: Got no idea except for the main line, the firework, so once again, don't except much from me.
Writing this at night and quite late with it so it can seem like I hurried with it.
Non-despair AU.

Random plus note: I seriously wonder why I keep getting Teruteru requests. (Not a fan of him.) No offence, just a comment.

That shouting could be heard through the street. A boy was banging his head in the wall after every word, shouting at the top of his lungs. He was quite stressed, but mostly embarassed. He had no idea why he did what he did.
He said yes on a date.
With a male.
A perverted male.
Being the Ultimate Sweetheart, he just couldn't possibly say no to anything in particular. But this time, he regretted it very, very much.
He looked at the clock.

6:55 pm.

He widened his eyes and looked at the sky, and saw that it was slowly darkening.
"Crap, I'll be late!" he yelled to no one in particular, then jumped up, grabbed his jacket and sprinted out towards the spring festival. The rain was pouring softly, and he cursed, lifted his jacket above his head and ran.

"I'M HERE!!!" he screamed to Teruteru, now his jacket just hanging on his shoulder. The small boy turned around, and as he saw his date, he looked disappointed but somewhat happy at the same time.
"You're supposed to wear a kimono, but... I guess seeing you here soaked wet is just as fun~"
He blushed. "W-What does that supposed to mean!?"
"Nothing at all." he turned around with a chuckle. "Come on, we have a lot of things to try out."
[F/N] sighed shakily and followed the cook.

Time skip

After catching goldfishes, buying caramel apples and Teruteru winning a... quite strange-looking black-and-white bear plushie for [F/N], the cook led them towards the river, where there was a beautiful landscape.
"Uhm... what are we supposed to do here?" [F/N] asked, looking at him with a raised eyebrow.
"Wait." he answered. "We can talk while waiting."
"Okay, uhh... Why did you invite me here? I mean I figure you'd rather go with a pretty girl like..."
"Like?"
"... Like I don't know. I honestly don't like any girls from school or... anywhere in particular."
"..."
"Anyway you didn't answer my question." he crossed his arms.
"Oh... Well, I thought with you being a, you know... sweetheart and all, this could be more fun." Teruteru answered, and it seemed like he was avoiding [F/N]'s eyes.
"...  I see." he nodded. "Can I ask why did you want come here or is that too much?"
"... Oh!" He was now sure that Teruteru was avoiding his look. "Well... you know my mom.. has a stand here and I hoped I could find her, but... It's quite impossible with the so many stands, hehe."
"Oh well we can go find her if you want!" he smiled.
"N-No let's stay here!" he jabbered.
"... Alright then... Is everything alri--"
He was cut off by fireworks shooting into the sky and exploding, into beautiful colorful sparkles.
"Wow." he smiled.
"... It's awesome, right?" Teruteru asked awkwardly, unpatiently stomping with his feet.
"Yeah..."
*ring~ring!*
[F/N]'s phone rang, and he got it out from his pocket.
"... Oh. My mom. One sec, I'll be back." he turned around to walk off.
"No, wait, you have to stay here!" Teruteru grabbed his wrist.
"Listen, I have to pick this up-"
"But you have to stay!"
*ring~ring!*
"Shut up!" he growled at his phone.
"Eh?"
"N-Not you!" he added then picked up the phone blankly staring into the colorful sky.
"WHERE ARE YOU? I just came home and you aren't anywhere!"
"Calm down mom, everything's alright, listen, I'm o-..................."
He widened his eyes and cutted himself off. His face slowly became a tomato red, and he stared at the colorful sentence on the sky, his phone slipping out of his hands, causing his mother to scream in panic.

Teruteru bit his lip and looked down.
"... Teruteru?"
"Sorry. I just--"
"N-No, don't be. It's just quite, uhm... surprising. I thought you liked girls?"
"..."
"W-Well theeen you don't. Okay. Information saved..." he awkwardly laughed. "A-Ah it's not like I'm a homophobe or anything! I-I just... don't really know... Maybe I... I don't know what to think..."
"It's okay. I will... give you time to think then." Teruteru smiled.
"... A-Alright."
