Y/N and Peter were friends since primary school. Everything was fine, every adult who knew them two said that they'd be a wonderful couple. But Y/N and Peter never saw more than best friend in each other.
They were stick with each other, Y/N found out about Peter's new abilities the following day after the trip. They both wondered how girl didn't get bitten too.
Their friendship had been a goal till high school. While freshmen year Y/N got herself a boyfriend and Peter developed a crush on Liz Allan. Since then two best friends argued every day. Peter hated when Y/N talked about B/N and kept repeating that he wasn't right for her. Y/N didn't like it and kept saying it wasn't his business, sometimes adding that Liz would never date him. Of course it was said because of anger, girl immediately apologized, but argument never came to the end.
Ned tried to calm them down. He mostly succeeded but there were days when his begging was useless. Today was that day.
– I'm cool, I'm absolutely cool. Ain't my fault this idiot don't understand that the girl who he fell over heels for would never lay her eyes on him, – Y/N said without apologizing this time.
– I'm an idiot? I'm an idiot?! No! The only idiot here who doesn't see what's going on right in front of their face is you! – Peter pointed at you.
– Oh really?! So enlighten me, what's going on!
– Gladly! How can't you see that he just uses you when he's bored. When was last time you saw him? Right, week ago!
– So what?! We both are busy with school stuff!
– Y/N, please understand, you deserve so much better than that cheating bastard.
– You know what, it's enough! Don't talk to me till you stop being such ass! – Y/N stood up taking her tray.
Girl left cafeteria as fast as she could. She didn't want to believe that her best friend said such words. 'Why can't he be happy for me' she thought and felt her eyes watering. Y/N entered bathroom and closed herself in stall. She was letting out quite sobs when she decided to text her boyfriend.

Girl's sobs got louder, she had nobody to comfort her.
Back in cafeteria Peter realized what just happened. He lowered his head covering his face with hands.
– I fucked up, Ned, big time, – he said to his friend.
– Yes, you did. But why do you think he cheats on her?
– I saw him with another girl a couple days ago, – Parker took a deep breath. – They were kissing.
– Then why... – Ned couldn't end his sentence.
– I didn't want hurt Y/N, I was going to say her but not like that.
Peter cared for Y/N. He loved her not in friend way, but didn't have guts to confess to her, especially, since she started dating B/N. Parker never liked him, he sensed something was wrong and tried to warn Y/N, but every time they just got into fight.
This time he had proofs but he couldn't just crash it on her. Moreover, he knew if he didn't make it up soon it would be the greatest fail. But Y/N needed some time, so Peter decided to come to her while his tonight's patrol.
After last period Y/N went to library. She liked to go there when she was sad, she took science books and read them till it was closing time. Science helped Y/N forget about every problem but Peter as he was the one who introduced her to this world.
So, this time she left earlier. But it was already dark as it was winter time. Y/N never was afraid of darkness on the streets, she had Peter who could rescue her any time. Unfortunately, not today, she thought.
Spiderman was swinging above the city as always to check on any crime and just to clear his mind. The second thing was impossible to him right now, his friend, Y/N, never left his thoughts. After an hour Peter decided to come to Y/N's place to talk, but when he got there the lights in her room was off meaning she wasn't at home yet. He sighed heavily and sat on the edge of rooftop of building that was in front of his friend's window and waited for her to come home.
Y/N wanted to get home as fast as she could. On her route home she spotted a dark alleyway she could use as a shortcut and turned into it. It was a mistake.
After turning the corner into the alley, out of the corner of her eye she spotted a couple kissing. Something about the boy seemed familiar. As she got closer she realized who he was
– B/N?! – Y/N was shocked.
– Y/N? W-what are you doing here? – the boy was as shocked as Y/N.
– Same goes to you! – Y/N was shouting now. – What a fool I am! Peter was right about! You're a peace of cheating shit!
Y/N ran away from there while B/N was shouting her name and asking to come to talk, but she kept running. She felt tears streaming down her cheeks.
Meanwhile Peter's spidey sense went off saying something wrong was going on. He got extremely worried as he knew it was something about Y/N. It always was special about her.
He swung to where his sense led him and soon he noticed running girl. Taking a better look Peter recognized his friend, his heart dropped at this sight. Spiderman got down, grabbed Y/N by her waist and swung up with her.
Girl didn't squirm she just wrapped her arms around boy's neck and snuggle into him. In this moment she felt that she tried to kill years ago.
Teenagers were standing on a rooftop now. Girl was crying on boy's shoulder while boy was holding tight on her. He rubbed her back, stroked her hair and whispered sweet nothings to calm her down.
When Y/N calmed down a bit, she spoke up:
– Peter... – sob. – I-I'm sorry... – sob. – You were right... – sob. – About everything...
– It's ok, Y/N, it's ok, – Peter tighten his embrace. – What's up?
– I saw him kissing another girl, – by her voice Parker could say she was getting angry.
– Hey-hey, – he lifted his mask and looked into girl's eyes. – Don't waste your nervous on some bastard, ok? – Y/N slowly nodded making Peter smile.
Boy and girl were standing and looking into each other's eyes. They were connected by the same feeling. They started to lean closer to each other. She closed eyes. As they were inches away boy pressed his lips to girl's forehead.
