Hello! The following story is a result of me trying out the "Oneshot til' You Drop" (At least I think that's what it's called.) Where you write a oneshot until you get really tired.
I know this sounds like cheating, but I decided to publish this in two separate parts because I did get tired and sleepy, but I wanted to throw you guys a bone after not having to publish anything yesterday.
* asterisk means there's a pun.
So prepare yourself for a lot of words, 1457, to be precise.

"What?!" Zorome slams his hands on the mahogany coffee table.
"Son, calm down." His father is extremely successful with his line of work, but not with being there for his son.
Despite the fact that Zorome is living a privileged life, he grew up on his own. Going to meetings instead of birthdays are something Zorome's dad had gotten used to.
"I'm not marrying someone I don't know just so you could keep your stupid company alive." He protests.
"This 'stupid' company is what's keeping you like this! You can have everything any kid your age wants! You might as well give back!" The man loved his son very much, but opportunity called his name and he went for it. "And the only reason why you don't know her, is because you haven't met her yet!"
Zorome thought about it for a while, Maybe she's nice, maybe pretty. His dad did have a point, if she's worth it, it could be a win-win situation. However, based on the movies he's watched involving arranged marriages, it never goes right.
"F-fine." He sighs. If there's one thing his father excels at, it's making deals.
"Alright then, we'll meet them tomorrow over some brunch, so look your best." He rests his hands on the young man's shoulders, after all, the fate of the business relies on Zorome now.
"Yes, Dad." He walks back to his room, the walls covered with posters of video games and sports, some of them autographed by famous players.
The computer is his connection to the outside world, his skill at online games is impressive. Checking the nation's ranking, where he's usually at the top, the number 2 is right next to his username.
"One day, I will destroy you, 'Sweet_Flame0330'." He mutters. "But not right now, because I'm really sleepy."
Laying himself on a thousand-dollar orthopedic mattress, he cuddles his old stuffed duck, Squishy, until he goes to sleep.
The repetitive beeps of the alarm clock wakes Zorome up.
"Well, today's the day. There's no turning back." He tells himself. "Who knows, maybe the girl's my type, I better look good."
He brushes his teeth and gurgles mouthwash. Running a hand through his unruly brown hair, he glances at his reflection, flashes a smile and a wink.
"Hey, girl. How ya doin'?"
He shakes his head, he'll probably just freak her out with that.
"A splendid afternoon, M'lady." Old-fashioned gentleman isn't something Zorome can pull off.
"Hi, there." He waves at himself. "That'll do."
He puts on a crisp, white button-down shirt on top of black, straight-cut pants and a pricey watch given to him as a birthday gift from his father.
"Lookin' sharp."
After a very quick breakfast, Zorome and his dad hop into the brand-new vehicle, straight from the company's factories.
