Andddd Stuck it!!! I've finally managed to stick my double straight somersault dismount from the uneven bars! I've only been training that move for a year now, it was about time to land it. (On my feet, not my knees like usual) Olympic trials are only 4 weeks away and I have to make the team!! I've been dreaming of this my entire life, ever since the first time I stepped into a gymnasium at age 4. I've always been a natural, I learnt my roundoff back handspring when I was only Five! Tuckbacking by age 6, I guess you could say I was a tiny pocket rocket.
"LILIA! FLOOR ROUTINE, NOW!"
Ugh, i hate it when the coaches shout. Just makes my ears ring. Even though my coach Skyla is exceptionally lovely.
I walk to the floor and strike my starting pose, and as I hear the music begin I jump into action. My floor is jam packed with skills, a Opening Silvas, and almost straight into a roundoff 1 1/2 twist, linked into a roundoff back handspring double Arabian. Some dance, a split change into a split jump 1/1, more dance, Memmel linked with a double spin into an illusion spin, dancing again, into a roundoff flick 2 1/2 twist linked into a stag jump, then an illusion spin and then a split leap 1 1/2. Finally to end, a double tuck. Needless to say this routine wears me out but damn do I do it well!
I move onto Beam, where I nail every landing (I am queen of the beam after all, and (try to) stick my DTY on vault. I hate vault, I suck at it so much. I can never stick my landings and it just makes me physically sick, but I've gotta live with it I guess.
This is how all of my training sessions go. Decent Bars, Amazing floor and beam, and a sucky vault. It's routine, and that's how I like things.
