Enoch x Reader

Enoch's P.O.V. 

It was any normal (and boring) day at the loop. Everyone was still annoying and I was in the basement all day, again. The only time I had gone upstairs was to sleep, eat, and go on our daily walk that I never agreed on going on. 

I was working on four new Homunculi when I heard the basement door close. It was most likely Miss.Peregrine trying to get me to come upstairs or Claire bugging me to come up and play with her. But it wasn't Miss.Peregrine or Claire, it was Y/N. 

"What do you want?" I asked, not looking up from my Homunculi. 

"Nothing," Y/N said. "I just wanted to come downstairs to see what you were doing." She pulled over a stool and put it across the table I was working on. 

"What I usually do," I said. "Make Homunculi and watch them fight." 

There was a long silence between us, as I made my Homunculi and Y/N watched. 

I do get kind of nervous whenever I make a Homunculi in front of someone, I'm used to just putting in the last bits of organs into the Homunculi in front of people. I guess I just don't want people to ask me questions or throw me off guard while making them. 

"Y/N!" Someone yelled from the top of the basement. It was Claire, I could recolonize her voice from a mile away. 

"I'll be up in a second!" Y/N yelled back. She turned to me and sighed. "Enoch, you really need to go upstairs sometime and hang out with us, I- WE'RE all getting really worried about you." 

"No need to worry about me," I said. "I can manage on my own." 

"Alright," Y/N said, but it didn't sound convincing. She got up from the stool and went upstairs. I was, once again, alone in the basement.

Y/N's P.O.V.~ 

I had been playing with Claire and Bronwyn all day, I really needed a break. 

"Please Y/N?" Bronwyn begged. 

"Can't you attend one more tea party?" Claire said, making puppy eyes. 

I sighed. "I'll play with you tomorrow, I really need a break." 

"Awwwww..." They both said. 

I left the playroom and walked around the house, looking for something to do. I decided to let my feet lead me to somewhere random. I ended up at the basement door. I wondered what Enoch was doing. 

"Make Homunculi and watch them fight." I guess that's what he was doing, so I hope he didn't mind that I was going downstairs...again. 

I opened the door and walked down the stairs, to find Enoch with his arms crossed on the table and his head on his arms. His eyes were closed and he didn't seem to be done with his Homunculi yet. I guess he fell asleep...awwwwwwwwwwwwwww. 

I went over to the stool I was sitting in before and sat in it. 

"Enoch," I whispered, but he didn't wake up. "Psst, Enoch, wake up from dream land." He still didn't wake up, I guess he's a heavy sleeper. 

I heard the basement door open. "Y/N? Are you down there?" I was Miss.Peregrine. 

"Yes," I said back. 

"Is Enoch with you?" 

"Yes, he's just getting some jars," 

"Ok, make sure to go to bed soon, it's getting dark," 

"Ok," And with that the basement door closed. 

A few minutes passed and I sighed. "Wake up already," I said. I heard some footsteps from upstairs, so I guessed everyone was getting ready for bed. I don't want to be the last one up, so I got up. 

Before I left though, I leaned over and kissed Enoch's forehead. "Goodnight," I whispered. "Love you." 

I heard a muffled "Love you, too," and chuckled. 

"Go upstairs sometime," I said, walking up the stairs.
