Enoch's P.O.V.~ 

It was any boring day. I had to go to boring school, with boring teachers, and my annoying friends and people who I know I just don't bother to talk to . . . well . . . the only person who isn't annoying that I haven't talked to is Y/N. 

There's just something about her that's not like everyone else. When I see her walk into the classroom with a huge smile on her face . . . it sends fireworks off in my stomach. She's not like anyone else. 

Sure, at one point I did like that idiot Horace Somnusson and he liked me, but he soon found someone else. The girl he found is better for him anyway . . . they're always singing something together. 

"Psst, Enoch," Someone was poking my shoulder. I picked my head up and turned my head. It was Millard who had been poking me. 

"What do you want?" I whispered to him. He then handed me a piece of paper. "What's this?" 

"I dunno," Millard said. "Just open it at lunch." He went back to taking notes on this weird dude named Alexander Hamilton. He helped win the American Revolution, but do I care? 

No, I'm a Loyalist so why would I need to learn about this guy?

It was FINALLY lunch time, and I FINALLY got to see all of my friends in one place. 

I mean . . . it's not like I care about them or anything, I just need someone to talk to. 

I was trying to eat my lunch, listening to everyone else talk about this fan fiction thing that they started. It's from a book and movie, but I forget what they're called. There are three girls as the main characters and they're psychos! But still . . . 

I looked down at my hands and realized the note was still in my pocket. I took it out and opened it up. It was a letter, neatly written by . . . Y/N?! Why would she be writing a letter to me when she could talk to me in person? I read the letter to myself a couple of times, just making sure I wasn't seeing things. 

Dear Enoch, 

There's something you need to know...but I can't tell you in person...I need you to meet me behind the school under the old willow tree at 3:15. Please, it's really important.

I stared wide eyed at the note. Y/N, of all people wanted to talk to me of all people after school under the willow tree? I've got to be dreaming. 

"Can someone slap me or something?" I said. "I feel like I'm dreaming." 

"I'LL DO IT!!" Victor yelled, standing up. 

"NO I WANNA DO IT!!" Millard yelled, also standing up. 

"NO ME!!" Hugh yelled, almost falling out of his seat. 

I quickly packed my stuff and ran out of the cafeteria. I could hear them fighting about it, and then I heard Horace's girlfriend yell for all of them to shut up.

I got to my locker, packing all my stuff quickly. I didn't bother to tell everyone where I was going, I just wanted to go talk to Y/N. 

Why DID I want to so badly? Was it because I've never talked to her? I kept on thinking about it, and then I finally reached the willow tree. Y/N was already there, smiling at me as I came over. 

"Hi Enoch!" She said. Her voice . . . it sounded different than it sounds when she's talking to her friends or answering a question in class. It sounded like she was feeling happiness for the first time in her life. 

"Hey Y/N," I said. "Sooooooo what did you wanna talk to me about?" 

Her face became a light tint of pink. "O-Oh . . . uh . . . how do I put this into words . . ." 

I didn't know what happened, but I had taken a few steps closer to her and she had moved a little closer to me. 

"I . . . I . . ." She was trying to get the words out, but she couldn't. She made cute little noises . . . wait what am I saying? 

I really just want to get this over with, I want her to tell me what she needs to tell me. I wanted to get her to shut up. 

Something came over me though . . . I grabbed her hands and pulled her into a hug. 

"You can tell me whatever you need me to know," I whispered. 

"I . . . I love you Enoch," She spat out. "I have since the first day I saw you and-" 

My instincts kicked in again and I leaned down and . . . I kissed her. We pulled away and we both were surprised. 

"Oh bird," I said, letting go of her. 

She smiled and kissed me on the cheek. "I'll see you tomorrow, dummy." And with that she walked away. 

So . . . I've liked her this whole time . . .? Wut.

It's been like a month since I've last posted. Jeez. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this Enoch x Reader. It took me a while to write cuz I was out of ideas.
