(Y/n) POV-
"Here you go, sir..." I handed him the cup as I awkwardly looked away from him.
It didn't take me that long to pee but it was a bit difficult since the toilet was broken... Anyways, I turned around to sit down on my bed but then paused when I heard a familiar voice. "Hey, Miss Rose sent me down here to get (Y/n). She has a visitor." Anti beamed with a smooth texture in his voice.
I turned around to look at the man I had just met and smiled when he had said, "visitor." Could it be Michael? Is he here to take me out of this God-forsaken place?
"Alright then, " The Orderly replied, gesturing for me to follow him.
I did so and followed Anti down the hallway. As soon as we went around the corner and we were out of the sight, Anti threw his arm over my shoulders. "So... Why did Dr. Galendu ask for you?" He cooed into my ear.
"Pregnancy... duh." I felt my face turn red as I looked at his hand on my right shoulder.
"Hm." Anti hummed.
Using his other hand, he grabbed my chin and carefully turned my attention to his face. He leaned in close, observing my face. I looked up at him wide-eyed as he released my chin. "Is that all?" He questioned with only one emotion across his face, curiosity.
"You know, curiosity killed the cat," I smirked, grabbing his arm and unwrapping it around my shoulder. I started to walk forward, expecting that he would follow me, but no, he stood still as I took a few steps forward. "The satisfaction of knowing, brought him back," He chimed.
His face showed joy and amusement as he noticed that I was shocked. "I'm sorry?"I turned to look at him with my eyebrows furrowed together.
"You said that curiosity killed the cat. Well... I'm telling you that the satisfaction of knowing the answer brought him back." He responded, leaving his lips ajar as he finished speaking.
I looked at him as he leaned against the wall with a smirk on his face. I thought I was the only one who knew the ending of that phrase. Heck, I don't even think Michael had heard of the phrase...
"Also, the visiting area is this way." He pointed to the door in front of him.
I looked towards the door immediately noticing that it was one of the only ones that were not see through. "Oh." I blushed, beginning to bite my bottom lip. I looked down at the floor out of embarrassment.
I walked back over to him while Anti opened the door. He smiled as he chirped, "Ladies first."
Behind the door revealed a long, wooden staircase. I was breathless as I looked up at the gold gleaming light that peaked over the last step. Placing my hand gently on the rail, Anti watched me as I took my first step. He followed me as I walked up the stairs. An endless amount of possibilities ran through my mind as I thought about where I was walking to. Just from the simple light, I could already tell that it was brighter and more vibrant than the downstairs living area.
A noise of chitter chatter and movement buzzed into my ears as I got closer to the top of the stairs. I felt Anti's presence behind me as I had finally reached the last step. My eyes had hurt from the sudden flash of light. From where I stood, I could see a piercing ray of sunlight appear from the entrance door being opened. Gazing across the room, I saw that dark red and rich brown wood filled the walls. Furniture was spread across the wide room, and multiple people were sitting on loveseats nearby. "This way," Anti walked out in front of me.
He walked forward, passing by other patients, doctors, and nurses. As we had begun to walk by a counter, I saw Miss Rose. "Hello!" She chimed, practically jumping out of her seat.
"Thank you Anti for getting Miss Holland." She smiled at him as she grabbed her clipboard.
I watched as her eyes gazed across her clipboard, her lips moved as she read. Once she was done reading, she looked at me and said, "Stephanie Holland is here to see you."
