"Are you sure?" I bit my lip nervously.
We were in his dressing room before the Boston show.
"Of course"
"Your fans are not going to like this Charlie"
"Why wouldn't they?"
"They're going to think I'm trying to replace Selena or something and there's no way I could ever sing as good as her or be right for this track" I started rambling on about all the reasons I shouldn't do this.
"Becca" He grabbed my hands making me shut up. "My fans wouldn't start hating on you if they're really my fans because I want to do this with you and you have a great voice otherwise you would not be on tour with me right now. Please do this for me?"
"Hmm what's in it for me?" I teased.
"You get to see what it's like to have everyone in the arena standing up and singing along"
I gasped and pushed him away.
"I'm kidding" He was laughing so hard.
"That hurt my feelings Charles"
"I'm sorry that was really mean."
"It was" I pouted.
We spent the time before going on stage practicing the song. Sure we both know all the lyrics but there's more than just knowing to make sure we sing it right.

"We don't talk anymore. we don't talk anymore, we don't talk anymore like we used to do" Charlie started singing as the crowd went crazy.
I walked out singing "I just hope you're lying next to somebody who knows how to love you like me, there must be a good reason that you're gone"
The crowd cheered more, surprised at hearing another voice besides Charlie singing.
He looked over at me giving me a reassuring smile.
We continued singing, occasionally making eye contact.
After our performance, I got off stage letting him finish his set.
