That day, when Jisoo returned home, she found Jennie crying on the couch, her face in her hands as she mumbled about how stupid she was.
That idiot, she thought, but she couldn't help but feel her heart melting. And so, she walked over to Jennie, placingher arm on her shoulder.
"Don't cry, it makes you look horrible," she whispered jokingly. Jennie chuckled in between sobs. She would be leaving soon, right? So why was her luggage completely empty?
"Uh... Jennie? You should pack, it's getting late and you need to go soon."
Jennie grinned. "Well, to put it simply, I called my company and told them that they could suck it. I told them in a much more colourful way, of course, but you get the point."
"You have no idea how sorry I am, for everything. What I said to you two days ago—I meant every word and more still. Every time I was abroad, I kept asking myself why I was choosing money over the love of my life, and I'm ready to quit my job now just to spend more—"
Jisoo pressed a finger to Jennie's lips silently. "Of course," she smiled, tearing up yet again. All the tears I've shed over the past months could fill an ocean, she thought, but she didn't care much.
For now, all that mattered was the fact that they were together.
