*Navigator Griffin*

Rachael stood there with her hands on the desk and Griffin behind her. It had been a minute since he placed her there. He didn't touch her or say anything. Her tears were fading and she was confused as to what was going on.

Was he not going to....

She looked over her shoulder and her eyes went wide as she witnessed Griffin placing the blade to the palm of his hand. He wrapped his fingers around the black blade and closed his eyes, whispering something.

Rachael blinked as she felt her skin shiver when he ripped the blade from his hand. Blood dripped in the moonlight as he clenched his fist tightly.

Rachael wanted to say something, but the next thing she knew, he had placed his hand on her back. She winched at the touch and her eyes once more locked forward. She couldn't calm her breath for nothing at this moment. Were they some kind of satanic pirate crew? Was this a ritual of some sort...

she paused in thought as she recalled her school lessons. Back in the day when they would offer sacrifices, they would drug them or get them drunk before killing them. But she was neither...

She looked back over her shoulder to find Griffin muttering words as he still held his hand on her back. His eyes closed tightly as he hissed a breath between words. Rachael whisked around and swatted his hand away, "What are you doing?!" She demanded.

As soon as Griffin's hand left her back, he went quiet and still. He slowly opened his eyes and looked to her.

Rachael gulped as his eyes had changed. They were now a solid black making her gasp and place her hands over her lips. She stepped back and right into the desk. She watched as he stood there, but suddenly Griffin dropped to the floor, his eyes held open and would not shut.

This made her skin crawl and send shivers up her spine. She focused on his lips when she realized that they were moving ever so slightly. Like he was trying to say something.

She looked around the room before moving to his side. She knelled down next to him and looked him over. She placed a hand on his arm only for him to shiver at her touch. Ge was warm... Hot even.

Her eyes locked with something shiny in the moonlight. The dagger he once held in his hand. She reached over him and took up the blade. She could easily kill him right then and there... But what would happen when the other pirates found out?

"Hey..." She shook griffin. "Wake up..." She shook him harder. But to no prevail did he wake. Rachael looked around the room once more. She got to her feet and rushed to the door, she was about to bang on the door, when she paused and looked to the dagger in hand.

She quickly pulled up her dress and tucked the knife away within the fabric. She could feel the blade against her skin and told herself to be careful when moving about. The dagger could give them a fighting chance.

Once the blade was lost in her clothing Rachael started to pound away at the door. "Someone!" She called out.

Masa had his eyes locked on Evilin when Rachael banged on the door. He quickly looked over and swiftly got up from his seat. Making his way over to the door, he unlocked it and let the door swing open wide.

Rachael took a step back when Masa opened the door. Her eyes locked with his as he looked down at her. She stepped to the side and pointed to where Griffin lay on the floor.

Masa walked past Rachael and went to Griffin's side. He looked down at him and without a second thought he knelled down and swooped Griffin up into his arms. He made his way over to the bed and laid him down gently.

He focused on Griffin's whispers for a moment and even he could not make sense of them. He stepped away from the bed and looked back over to Rachael.

Rachael felt like he was staring at her like she had done something wrong. "He just fell I swear." She hoped her words would be heard.

Masa took one more look at Griffin and then made his way over to Rachael. He motioned for her to leave the room. Once she stepped through the doorway he followed her out. He turned and locked the door behind hem and made his way back to the table.

Evilin, Caroline and Henry were shocked to see Rachael. Besides the back of her dress being torn, and blood on her back... They were even more so relieved that she seemed fine. But looks can be deceiving.

Caroline rushed to her feet and ran over to Rachael quickly grasping her into a hug. Rachael hugged her back, but her mind was still inside that room. She pulled Caroline away and turned to Masa. "What exactly was that?" She asked.

Masa glanced to Rachael as he took his seat at the table. He looked to Evilin and gave her a soft smile.

Rachael moved away from Caroline and stormed over to Masa. She slammed her hand on the table, while the other stuck to her hip. "We will not be used for some voodoo sacrifice." She stated bitterly.

Henry by this time had moved form the corner and over to Evilin's side while Caroline made her way to Rachael.

Masa shifted his eyes over to Rachael and quickly stood up. Rachael stepped back running into Caroline without warning. Masa leaned over her as his facial expression looked angered.

"We are not some voodoo pirates..." He told her in a deep warning voice. "and what happen in there is none of your business." He added.

Rachael blinked at his words and found them to be misleading and otherwise not welcomed. He wasn't answering any questions and what happened in the room did concern her. She was there for it... She was even forced to be apart of it.

Rachael narrowed her eyes and stood up as tall as she could as she invaded Masa's space. She wasn't surprised when the Captain could care less about her moving closer to him. "I have every right to know." she told him.

Masa smirked at her, "You have no rights." He told her. With that he took hold of her arm roughly. "If you would like a demonstration I can arrange it." he warned her.

Rachael held her breath for a minute as she looked into Masa's black eyes. His eyes were much different then the other. There was a darkness swirling around in them. Something he dared to hide and yet at the same time, not afraid to let out.

"Then would you please explain?" She asked through a hiss of her lips. She hated how the words tastes on her tongue. Saying please to such a man.

Masa let go of her and stood up tall. "All shall be explained in due time." He told her. Masa turned back to his chair and sat down quietly. Taking up his cup only to place it back down. He turned to Evilin and pointed to his cup.

Evilin understood quickly and picked up the bottle of rum. She filled his cup and set the bottle back on the table. She watched as the man picked up the cup and nearly drank half of it. "You all might want to take a seat." He told them without even looking at them. "Like I told you before..." He paused as she took another sip from his drink.

"This might take a while."
