I am the girl standing in the moonlight

Telling myself everything will be alright

The girl dancing around with music in her head

Trying to ignore the monsters instead

The girl too scared to fall in love

And put her faith in something above

The girl who doesn't party or drink

Or throw her food up in a kitchen sink

I am the girl who is broken and hides

Smiling and suffering to keep it all inside
