Exiting the suburbs felt familiar but also terrifying again. It felt as if the day had started all over again, but it hadn't. No matter where I go or what I do after this, my life will have changed forever and i'm not sure if it was for the better. After the shit I've seen and done... well, i guess I'll will cross that bridge when I get there. The streets of this dark city were just as cluttered and dirty as the last. Cars were piled on one another, papers and trash everywhere, small animals such as rats, cats, dogs and even foxes would occasionally appear somewhere.

More creatures appeared from the darkness in the alleyways, so I load my shotgun and ready myself. one by one they all charge toward me and one by one I knocked them down. It was a little easier to deal with the simpler creatures now that I had grown used to their repetitive actions. But those other creatures bothered me. They were just.. just straight out of a nightmare. Whats worse is that I know this creature is lurking around the streets of the city and I'm out in the open like a sitting duck. Maybe I should  find shelter or at least some form of it before that creature finds me. I mean it's only a matter of time before I run into it again or something much worse. I ducked into an alleyway and called into the radio to ask for directions.

"What street are you on kid?" He asked.

"Ah let me see... it looks like Larkin street and Dean way." I replied nervously. I wasn't ready to hear how far I was even though I needed to.

"Just head straight, all they way down Dean way until you reach the hospital, then take a left on Eagle Avenue, from there you will see and intersection. I'll give you more directions once your their". He explained. it took me a few minutes to reach the hospital. Once I was there I continued onto Eagle Avenue. Just as I turned the corner, I saw it. The creature from the forest. I quickly took cover behind a corner wall of the building to avoid being seen by this thing. It looked in my direction then looked forward and continued onward. Once it was out of sight I waited a few minutes to continue forward.

"This thing is definitely looking for me, or maybe the survivor or SURVIVORS." I didn't know if there was only one or many survivors, all I knew at the moment was where this guy was hiding out at. Where could that thing have gone? The outside only seemed to get darker and darker. The streets were still lit up and visible, but looking up at the taller buildings... nothing. It was as if there was black clouds covering the entire sky just a few stories up. Just plain blackness and nothing else.. no stars or moon. I turned my focus back to ground level. Nothing seems to be around. I felt a small wave of relief flow over me, then I turned the corner. I noticed that there were the normal human like creatures, but they were already dead. Torn apart with severed limbs, and guts strewn across the scattered cars and street signs.

This was weird but I didn't mind to an extent considering it might've been one of those nightmare like creatures from the forest. That's what I brushed it off as. I kept walking forward down the street until I reached the intersection... Screeching... This time it was coming from behind me, so I turn  to see a larger version of the forest creature. I don't mean it was a giant but this time, it was red with spikes lining it's spine, and sharp long arms that seemed to be pure bone. Its hind legs a bit smaller with large wider shoulders. It looked like a mix between a thin frog and a demonic dog. It lunged for me and I jumped out of the way. The creature stood on its hind legs and stood up straight making it even taller before swinging one of its bone sword arms at me.

I ducked and the arm struck a car that was behind me. I pointed the shotgun at the creatures side and pulled the trigger. It blew the creatures side completely off and it was bleeding out at this point. It turned to look at me and jerked its arm out of the car then swinging it down toward me. I rolled to the side just before the arm hit the floor. The arm was thrust into a manhole cover and the creature took its arm out and flung the cover into a window. I got up and ran to a corner that looked like a wall blocking the alley way. I couldn't even call it a creature anymore, I think of it more as a hell hound. It approached me with blood dripping from it's side.

I look down and I see the manhole is open. When the creature got close enough, I aimed for the face and shot it blowing half of its face off as well, then I aimed for one of the knees and blew that out too before running past the creature. It swung behind itself in hopes of hitting me and it did. This caused me to land right in front of the manhole. The hell hound turned around and shrieked then lunged to me. It nearly landed on me but with one foot I pushed myself into the manhole landing in the water below. Looking up the creature could only fit its arm into it, i knew I was safe from that thing for now. It was dark now and it was better to worry about who or what was in the sewer with me. I called in on the radio to the man and told him what had happened. He didn't know what to do. I told him I would be finding an alternate route to the train station through the sewers, hung up the radio and turned on my flashlight. I had noticed that I had dropped my shotgun out there, but there was no way I was going back there to get it. I had to just press on forward.
