Slam! The closet door shut as Huey and Louie pounded from the outside.

"C'mon Dewey! You can't hide in there for-ev-er," Louie said in a sing-song voice.

"Yeah! We're locked and loaded!" Huey added.

"Still can't believe those two teamed against me," Dewey muttered as he got his water gun in a firing position. "What happened to 'every man for himself'?"

Suddenly, the sound of screams echoed its way into the closet Dewey was currently in. Those were screams of Huey and Louie.

"Hahahaha! Eat water you maggots!" Webby said as she sniped Huey and Louie with her water gun. "There're gone, Dewey. You can come out now."

The door slowly creaked open as Dewey snatched Webby inside.

"Okay look! Louie and Huey have teamed up. There's no way that us alone-" Webby gave Dewey a glare that he could well see through the darkness of the closet. "Er...me alone can take them down," Dewey said.

"You want to team up with me?" Webby asked.

"Yeah, well, we would make a pretty good team against them if we teamed up," Dewey said, thankful that the darkness of the closet prevented Webby from seeing his cheeks turn tomato red.

"Let's do it, partner!" Webby said, sticking her hand out for presumably a handshake.

Dewey shook Webby's hand, but, blushed a little at the touch of her hand.

So Webby and Dewey went, went to go find Louie and Huey, and seek revenge.

Dewey stuck out his arm in front of Webby as they approached the mansion's library.

"There're here," he said. "I can smell them."

Webby put on her heat seeking goggles, much to Dewey's surprise and utter confusion, and started to scan the room. After a few seconds, her eyes locked on a certain area. Huey and Louie were hiding behind a couch. She slowly crept closer to them, Dewey following behind her, and readied her water gun. Unfortunately, Louie and Huey were prepared. Yeah, Louie was behind the couch, that was what Webby's goggles had picked up, but Huey was standing right behind them. Huey fired straight at Webby, but Dewey had felt that something was amiss and turned around and jumped in front of Webby, taking all the water that Huey had fired at Webby.

Dewey layed on the floor, soaking wet. He was rubbing water out of his eyes and opened them, seeing Louie in his face, laughing. He instantly got up on his feet to see Huey and Louie celebrating.

"Ha!" Louie said. "You're sopping wet!"

"But that water was meant for awe by for ambushing us earlier. Why'd you jump in front of her?" Huey asked.

"Because she's my friend!" Dewey said, wrapping his arm over Webby. "And that's what friends do! Nothing you backstabbing-traitors would know!"

"Seems like you guys are more than friends," Louie muttered with a smirk.

Nobody really saw it, but when Dewey wrapped his arm over  Webby, she couldn't help but blush.

Later that night, Dewey was in Webby's room with her painting his nails, due to a bet he lost, when Webby brought up the subject of the water hub fight earlier that day.

"Why did you really cover me when Huey was firing?" Webby asked. "I know I'm your friend, but I've been locked in this mansion my whole life, so I can tell when someone is lying."

"I dunno, maybe it's just someone as pretty as you doesn't deserve to get wet, and I would much rather be soaking wet if it means that you stay dry," Dewey said, averting his eyes.

"Aww! That's the nhgicest thing anyone has ever said to me!" Webby said, squeezing him into a hug.

Dewey was literally like blushing so hard right then, he could have been mistaken for a strawberry. He wanted this moment to last forever, but there was one slight problem.

     "AHHH! Webby! Wet nail polish!"
