It had been a long day for the Conner girl. Though she was managing to survive the morning at school, she felt as if she had just been drowned. Her head was pounding, her heart was thumping as if it was going to burst out her chest and tears were threatening to fall. Nothing had necessarily happened to the girl at the moment but she felt overwhelmed by the thought of talking or moving. It became clear that this girl was clearly broken.

The broken girl was sat back pressed against a desk in the abandoned new room, hand to her chest taking deep breaths. She couldn't move her unbelievably shaking hand from her chest. Suddenly the door burst open and the voice of her best friend echoed in the room with a reply of Jughead Jones. The girls breathe hitched in her throat making a small sound.

The two teens that had just entered the room turned around and came face to face with a incredibly shaky girl. "Joey? Are you okay?" Joey couldn't reply, she tried but nothing came out of her mouth. Just silence. She was now crying but not even the sound of sobs came from her mouth. Toni lent down putting her hand on the quivering arm of Joey Kendall.

Seconds later the rusty back doors of the news room bust open revealing sweet pea. Joey Kendall, stood up in the blink of a eye, now smiling. "Topaz let's bounce." His voice boomed in the silent room. The once crying and unmovable girl was now smiling widely. Obviously hiding her pain. Jughead stared at the girl beyond confused on what had happened.

"Joey, we gonna go to the quarry. Come on. Jones wanna come?" The tall boy beckoned her over and asked the jones boy. "Sure big brother." Jughead took a minute to study the girl before replying. "Um I don't have my beach bod yet." His reply did not settle well with the dark haired serpent boy. "What you accept help from the serpents but won't hangout with us. Don't come crawling back hat in hand because some ghoulies got their strips by taking out Fp's kid!"

His volume increased with each word. "Duly noted sweet pea. I appreciate what you did for my family but no more favours coming you,r way, alright I'm out." The tall boy steps forwards in threatening manner. Before he could do anything his little sister stepped in front of him putting her hand on his chest. "Face it bro he's just not that into you, come let's motor." Everyone walked out as the girl approached the door she turned around and winked at him "Later Jones."

After the evening of drinking, smoking and swimming at the quarry she decided she better go and suffer the wrath of her worthless father. Sweet pea had once again decided to stay at a fangs trailer. Something he did almost every night.

Slowly the young girl found herself dragging her sore feet along the damp pavement of the Southside. Her heart was pounding once again and her head was spinning. She was extremely dreading going home, she was high, drunk and coming home very late. And she knew those 3 things definitely would not mix well with her aggressive father.

The frightened girl, shakily opened the rusty front door to her trailer. She stepped in side and there sat her very drunk and very mad dad, he stood up straight away looking her dead in the eyes. He raises his hand and slapped her. Joey didn't flinch, nor did she bring her hand to her cheek.

"Disobedience, is not something I will stand for." Once again a hand was in contact with my face but this time it being a fist. And the another and another.

Joey Kendall's p.o.v

My vision was blurring and my head was spinning. Even though I was boxer, I knew I could fight back against my dad it was pointless. His fist collided with my face multiple times. Over and over again. He grabbed a fist full of my hair and pushed me away from the door in to the corner of the trailer. I feel to the ground with a loud thump.

I barley had the chance to move before he started to kick me. Seven times. My chest was tight and I couldn't breathe. Pain radiated through my body, my lip was shaking and I was now coughing up blood. My dad had finally stopped kicking my torso but only to replace the kicks with suffocation.

He gripped my throat tightly and pushed me against the wall, I felt as if my bones had been shattered against the wall. His hand squeezed tighter the more I struggled. When I felt as if I was taking my last breathe He finally let go.

My heart was beating a mile a minute. My breathe was unusually fast and my body was throbbing in pain. I couldn't move, I felt paralysed. The useless man I called a father walked away as if It was nothing. As if I was nothing.
No ones p.o.v

The bruised and bloody girl held a tight grip onto the chair arm and forced her limp body to stand. She forced her self to the bathroom and washed the blood of her face. She lifted her top to look at the damage on her ribs, she grabbed a wet towel and smoothed it over her ribs to stop the burning sensation.
