(3) Cross

âHey!â Jordan said as he waved his hand in front of my face. He went here a little while ago and apologized for his rudeness and manipulation of my life. Yet he got pretty surprised when he saw that Cross and Sofia were here.
Yup, you heard right, Eighth and Ninth are here. Probably because as they say, they are searching for Seventh who is in fact, Jordanâs brother. And Cross, by the way, is Eighth, Sofiaâs brother.
âWhat is it?â I asked as if I didnât have a care in the world of what he was saying.
âArenât we going to school?â he said.
I looked at the clock... â4:30, far too early.â I said.
âOkay then, by the way, what are they doing here?â Jordan pointed to Sofia and Cross who were both lying on the couch as Jordan and I were sitting by the dining table.
âOh, they just decided to spend the night here since they were late...â I said.
That was a pretty obvious lie yet Jordan believed me, he had too much trust...
In fact, I learned two more things about all of us, weâre immortal... First was born in the seventeenth century though she looks as if she was in her twenties. Well, that fact did surprise me, we could live and we couldnât die out of old age, but we could be killed. The second one is that all of us have something in common, we have no parents... they were either killed, or they suddenly disappeared, abandoned us and worst of all, part of the bad guys.
Yup, there are bad guys controlled by Seventh and those are the people that we hunt down so they would not be able to abuse their unnatural gift. Jordanâs brother is simply a genius, he created some drug that could pass on the gift to anyone else, they couldnât be more powerful than us and the drug is extremely complicated but I heard that Seventh is trying to make an army to lead our kind into extinction and we wouldnât be allowing that.
âWhat were their names again?â Jordan asked me once more.
âSofia and Cross...â I said with the air of finality in my voice.
âWell, I have to be going now, still need to get ready for school, see you at school!â he said as he made his way out of my house.
I sighed as I stared at Sofia and Cross, they said that I have to be absent for today to help them find Seventh, he could be anywhere, in fact, I donât even know where to get started...
