Chapter 1

The drive to California was quiet. My dad never really talked much although he would have this curious look on his face, it's like he was trying  to read my
thoughts. He probably wondered why my life was so depressed maybe it could be the fact that my mom died when I was seven (car accident), after then everything felt wrong, my world turned upside down, my father starting to do illegal business and that's why we are now moving away to start a new life.

We finally pulled into the driveway. I ran out leaving my dad with all the luggage. the house was big inside, too big just for two people. It had grey walls, fireplace and a built- in smart TV, which I thought was so awesome..... What! can't blame a teenage that is not accustomed to these luxuries. I made it upstairs towards the nearest bedroom. It was small but I liked it. It was pained in a sky blue with a study desk and a king-sized bed. Then there was something that caught my attention.

It was our next door neighbor, the window was opened and all I could see was a dirty room that was until some rude young boy that looked around my age closed the window and hid the curtains.

"Meliiii come down and meet our new neighbors"' my dad yelled out for me. I rolled my eyes of how annoyed I was

"I'll be right there" I yelled back at him

I ran downstairs to see who my father was speaking about, but mid- way stopped when i realized it was the same rude boy with his mother and father standing in my doorway. Damn I gotta admit he is sexy asf, OMG! I cant believe i'm eye raping this dude. His black hair was push back to the side of his face and his dark brown eyes gleamed at me with disgust.

"Hello" a woman I assumed was his mother said to me with a bright smile.

"Hi, it's so nice to meet you" i responded after a while

" Enough with the chit - chat mom i have guest coming over tonight, can we leave now?" argued the rude boy

" Sorry about that he is a little off lately", oh so Jake is his name I nodded and ran back to my room.

Beep! Beep! my annoying alarm went off I covered my face with the pillow then came to realization it was my first day at my new school.

" This is going to be fun" i muttered out of sarcasm knowing that it would be horrible. I got dressed, I decided to wear a short peach and white summer dress with my hair loose down.

"Honey aren't you gonna eat something before you leave?"

" Nope Imma stop at I Hop and grab something" i said slamming the door

According to my GPS my school was around the corner so I decided to walk, dad said I have to wait until I'm 18 before i could start drive, which was only two months away. The school was extremely big although I knew i would get lost, I made my way to a door that looked like the entrance. It was like being a movie star or something everyone was just starring at me, like wtf people get a life or something.

I made my way to the principal's office, he just signed a few papers and give me a script that contained my classes. Along with a key to my new locker. Without even paying attention to what was in front of me while looking for my code I bumped into someone, scattering everything o the floor.

"Watch were you're going you nerd" a stern voice said

"So-orry I didn't see you there" I responded out of fright while trying to gather my stuff
