~Shigure's POV~
Tohru returned home and all was right in the world again, and my home would no longer suffer the brutal abuse of Kyo and Yuki any longer. I was happily tidying up the sitting room and casually leaving out some of my romance novels in random places.
"What are you doing, Shigure?" Luna asked curiously as she returned home from the store.
"We'll be entertaining High School Girls." I beamed.
"You're positively revolting." She rolled her eyes.
"High School Girls. High School Girls." I sang childishly.
"I'm calling to catch a predator." She grumbled as she carried the groceries to the kitchen, "You need to be locked away."
"How could you say such things?" I asked wounded as I followed her to the kitchen with a whine.
She tied her snow white hair back with a brilliant orange bandana and rolled up her sleeves as she stared at the pile of food before her determined. "Snacks." She grumbled, "I can do this."
I hung back in the doorway, watching her with a soft smile as she threw on a matching orange apron. She looked simply adorable as she determinedly stared at the pile of food before her. Her face screwed up in concentration as she thought of what to make. The progress she'd made in such a small amount of time was nothing short of a miracle. She'd overcome so many obstacles since Tohru arrived. Slowly, she was becoming a less hollow shell of the girl she once was and I could tell that very soon she may be able to return to her old self completely.
Her startling vibrant burning ember eyes met mine and she stared back at me in defeat, "I have no idea what I'm doing." She whined helplessly.
"What do you want to make?" I asked her with a smile as I approached her.
"Snacks." She said in an adorable whimper.
"What kind of snacks?" I smiled as I wrapped my arms around her from behind and held her tightly against me.
"I don't know." She said almost breathlessly as she leaned into my embrace.
I trailed my hands down her arms and caught her hands in mine and smiled to myself as she shivered at my tantalizing touch. "Dumplings?"
"I don't know how to make them." She sighed in defeat.
"We'll make them together." I careened my head forward and placed a gentle kiss to her revealed ivory neck.
Her small delicate body trembled against me.
"What's going on today?" Kyo asked lazily as he trudged into the kitchen causing Luna and I to separate abruptly.
"What do you mean?" I asked tensely.
"Why is everyone cleaning and why is Luna attempting to cook?" Kyo asked skeptically.
"Tohru is having some friends stay the night." I replied coolly causing Luna to raise an inquisitive brow.
"Is that why I thought I heard you chanting 'high school girls' in my sleep?" Kyo grumbled rubbing the sleep from his ember tinted chocolate eyes.
Luna rolled her eyes at this and held back a smile as she returned to the food before her and began whipping something up silently. "You're such a pervert, Shigure." She laughed softly as her hands worked quickly, chopping vegetables rolling out dough for the dumplings and throwing everything together. Everything about her was radiant as she worked silently smiling softly to herself maddeningly making me wonder what she was thinking about.
