Skye's POV

I ran around my house, doing last minute things, because me and my parents were going to Egypt today!!

I travel a lot, like A LOT, because one, I love travelling, two, my father is very successful so he has to go around the world a lot, and three, my mom's a photographer and takes pictures of famous monuments and stuff.

We're going to Egypt for my mom, she was instructed to take pictures of the pyramids and sphinxes and the outside of tombs and stuff.

I grabbed my two suitcases and my backpack and walked out the house, with my camera slung around my neck. I love taking photographs, I got my camera on my birthday as a gift from my mom.

I got into our car with my parents, and our driver took us to the airport.

When we got there we checked in, and gave our suitcases, but I kept my backpack on. It held all the small stuff like charger, headphones, snacks, waterbottle, a pen, camera case, mint gum, etc.

We entered our private jet, and I went into the back and settled down. I put my backpack on a seat and sat next to it. Hey, there are like four seats back here, might as well put it to good use!

I turned on a movie, and watched it until I fell asleep.

...

When I woke up I asked an attendant how long it was until we landed, and she said 20 minutes.

I looked around the place and saw a window. I walked towards it and looked out.

The view was amazing! I held my camera and took pictures, then let it hang around my neck again.

I took a travel guide for Egypt and read for a few minutes, then got bored and closed it.

I checked my watch. 16 minutes left. I groaned. Why do plane rides have to be so long...

My stomach grumbled and I went to my backpack. I zipped it open and took out a chocolate bar and ate it. Is it just me, or does anyone else think plane food is gross and always cold?

...

When we landed I grabbed my backpack and ran out, brushing past my parents. I thought I was gonna die of boredom back there!

I walked down the stairs and breathed in deeply, enjoying the air hitting my face.

We got into a car and drove to our house. When we reached I went straight to my room and put my suitcases near the door and my backpack on my bed.

The room was light grey and teal themed, just the way I liked it.

I then went outside, into our garden. I took some more pictures, but these were boring pictures. I want to see the pyramids!

I went back to my room and just lay on my bed, thinking about random stuff.

...

The next few days we went to the see the pyramids, took pictures, went into the tomb (sadly we weren't allowed to go in with electronics) and had fun.

Today we were going to go on a helicopter ride around the dunes, see the pyramids from high up. I was so excited for it!

We went to the place were many helicopters were, and got into one. The helicopter rose into the air, and I could feel the wind in my face, whipping my hair around.

After a few minutes we stopped right over the pyramids, not moving forward. My mom went crazy with pics, while I was too distracted staring at the clouds. There was something among them...

I asked the helicopter driver to go higher in this exact place, and he obeyed, going higher.

Now we were practically in the clouds and my mom looked to the right as well as my dad, and I was on the left, looking out. Something was glimmering, right in front me.

I reached my hand out and waved some of the fog away, and saw a diamond literally floating there, surrounded with clouds.

I rubbed my eyes and looked again. It was still there, shining brilliantly. I looked at my parents but they were still looking off to the right, and didn't notice it.

I shrugged and reached out, taking it.
The diamond was circle-shaped, and looked amazing! I put it into my pocket, and then the helicopter went lower, until we reached the ground again. My mom showed me her pictures, which were brilliant, and my dad praised her as well.

We got home and I went into my room, taking out the diamond. How could it just be floating there? That was impossible!

I decided not to tell my parents, they wouldn't believe me even if I showed it to them, because we can easily afford gemstones and would think I just bought it somewhere.

So I got out a case which contained my rings, and took them out. I placed the gem on the velvet surface, and closed the case, locking it and shoving it into my backpack.

It was our last day in Egypt, we were going back home tomorrow.

...

When we got back from Egypt, I went to the jewellery store. I showed them the diamond, and asked them to make it into a necklace to fit my neck. They told me it would take a few days to complete the necklace, so I left it with them and left.

...

A/N: So how was it? I'm going to first make them find their gemstones, make it into a necklace, notice weird things happen, then they would meet and the story would continue from there! And above is what Skye's diamond looks like.
