Skye's POV

Two days passed by quickly, and the next day I walked to the jewellery store.

I went up to the counter and the cashier looked up, saying with a  bright smile, "Hi, what can I do for you today?"

I smiled back and said, "Two days ago I gave my diamond to you so you can turn it into a necklace, and I'm here to take it."

She nodded and turned, opening a safe and taking out a silver box, with their logo printed onto the top.

I smiled and handed her the money it would take, thanked her, then walked back home.

When I got to my room I sat on my bed, opening up the box. Inside was the gem I found, hanging from a silver chain, just like I asked.

I unclasped it, putting it around my neck. I walked up to the mirror and admired it for a few moments.

Suddenly I felt a blast of air hitting my face. I looked around, and saw my window and door was closed.

Strange..

I shrugged it off and decided to go to the park to take pictures. I took my Polaroid camera and ran out, then walked for two minutes until I reached the park.

I took pictures for a while then my arms got tired, so I went and sat on a swing. I looked through my pictures, and deleted the blurry ones.

Suddenly I felt someone showing me from behind, and I fell off the swing, landing onto the sand. I held my camera above my head and thankfully it didn't break.

I got up and dusted myself off, then looked at the swing. A little girl was there, and she was wearing a pink dress, with pink bows in her hair. She looked angry. "MY SWING!!" She screamed, sticking out her tongue.

She looked like one of those spoiled brats, ugh. I decided to deal with her calmly.

"You can just say that, instead of shoving me. That wasn't a very nice thing to do, you know." I said.

She mouthed my words silently, one of my pet peeves. I felt my temper rise, but I pushed it down, repeating in my head, 'She's just a kid, she's just a kid.'

I turned and walked away, deciding to sit on a bench instead. Then I looked through my camera again.

Apparently I couldn't do that, because I felt someone bump into my leg. I dropped my camera, but caught it between my legs. I sighed in relief. I looked at the person. It was a girl around my age, with black hair and blue highlights in them.

"Oh, sorry I wasn't watching where I was going." She mumbled. I smiled, saying, no problem."

Then I saw a beautiful blue gemstone around her neck. I opened my mouth and she did too and said, "Hey, I love your necklace!" We realized we both said it at the same time and laughed.

"Can I sit here?" She asked and I nodded.

She sat down next to me and looked at my camera. "You like photography?" I nodded and she said, "That's cool! Can I see your pictures?"

I handed her my camera and she looked through the shots. "These are really good." She said. "You're so talented."

I smiled, "Thank you. And what's your name?" I asked.

"Marina, yours?" She asked.

"That's a nice name, and mine is Skye." I replied.

She nodded then snapped her fingers. "Hey, I just remembered, that my friend's birthday is tomorrow, we're throwing her a surprise party. Would you mind taking a few pictures? I've been looking for a photographer anyways, and I'll pay you." She said.

I smiled and nodded, "I would love too, and you don't need to pay me."

"Are you sure?" She asked and I replied with a "Yeah!"

"Hey, my butt is getting numb, can we walk and talk?" I asked.

She laughed and we stood up. We walked and I spotted two other girls my age in biker outfits, walking fast towards the forest.

We found a creek and near it was a tree with a swing attached to a branch. Marina ran and sat on it.

She pushed off and swung very high. While she was swinging we talked about stuff and got to know each other better.

Then I took pictures of her while she posed on the swing. I even took out my phone and made a boomerang video of her swinging back and forth.

Then the brat from before appeared and made a disgusted face. "Ew, she's ugly, get another model."

That's when I snapped. "Alright, you snobby little princess, get lost!"

"Skye, she's just a kid." Marina said, getting off the swing and patting my shoulder.

"Ugh I know, I just hate these spoiled kids." I muttered.

Then the girl did something unimaginable. She stepped forward and pushed Marina into the creek. "I'M NOT A KID!" She screamed. "I'M A BIG GIRL!"

What happened next was shocking.

Marina stood up in the creek, the water reaching upto her knees. She glared at the child and a wave of water rose up behind her. It was not VERY big, but it was big enough to soak someone from head to toe.

The girl laughed. "Oh please, you think that will scare me?"

Then I got angry. She was pissing the life out of me now. I felt something twist in my stomach and a rush of air.

I don't know what happened next, but I remember the girl screaming, up in the air, drenched in water.

When she was back on the ground she ran off.

I helped Marina out of the water and we sat on the grass.

We didn't speak for a while until she looked at me. "Did you feel that? Like the small feeling in your stomach?" She asked.

"Yeah." I said, surprised. "You felt that too?" She nodded and we both looked at the ground.

"Marina, I don't know what happened! One moment the girl is laughing at you, and the next, she's five feet up in the air and soaking wet!" I exclaimed.

"I don't know exactly, but a lot of weird stuff has been happening today. They're all related to water." She said. "I came to the park to clear my mind and convince myself I'm not going crazy, but now I know that I am!"

I thought about it. "Come to think of it, I did feel a blast of air on my face in my room, and the window and door was closed!"

Marina sighed. "Well figure something out soon, right now I gotta go home. See you around." She got up and we exchanged numbers, then went home.
