"Welcome to your home for the next few weeks," Ariana said as Jace stepped inside the house after three hours of being on the road.
She locked the door behind him as he looked around. She joined him after she had done a sweep of the house because you could never be too safe. She made sure all the curtains were closed. She went to the kitchen but stopped at the entrance and leaned against the door post and watched him move around.
"What do you think?" She asked him,
He turned around to face her,
"About the house?" He asked, "What am I supposed to say to that? Wouldn't change anything if I said I didn't like it."He approached her.
"But you do." She pointed out.
"And how would you know that?" He asked as he leaned back against the doorpost facing her.
They both filled the doorway looking at each other.
"You have that look in your eyes." She said her gaze locked with his."What look?" He asked with a smirk lurking at the corner of his lips.
"The look similar to the one you have when you look at me." She said, her voice dropping.
He was silent for a moment before he pushed off the doorpost and took two steps towards her, staring at her like a predator did when it watched its prey. He placed an arm above her head and looked down at her. They were barely inches apart.
"And how do I look at you?" He asked
Ariana looked up at him still as shocked as the first time at the way he made her feel. At the way he left her tongue tied into silence and made her heart race.
Ariana shook her head slowly still staring into his eyes like she was hypnotized by them. She didn't know how to answer him, the answer to his question was unexplainable, indescribable.
"I can't explain it." She said almost in a whisper. "But it's the exact way you're looking at me right now."His gaze dropped to her lips.
"I forget everything but you and my heart begins to pound like it's about to explode. I feel like a lightweight and the moment you touch me..." Jace reached out and placed his palm on her face. Ariana inhaled sharply as her eyes closed on its own accord. "...I feel like..."
"Like what?" Jace asked when she didn't say anything more his lips brushing hers. "Like what Ari?"
Her eyes opened and met his
"Like I'm going to die if you don't kiss me."Jace didn't need a reason not to kiss her at that moment and that's exactly what he did. She had seduced him unknowingly on the ride here and he had been waiting for the right time to tell her to stop the car so he could snap the seatbelt off her and lift her and over onto his lap so she would straddle him.
But the time never came and damn him if he didn't ravish her in this moment the way he had the previous night.
Jace bent in his knees and grabbed the back of her legs, still kissing her and then lifted her. Ariana's leg wrapped around him, her ankles locked securely behind him as they both gave and got with their tongues both fighting for dominance which was the part Jace liked...loved actually. He loved how she kept fighting him for the upper hand, each of them never wanting to back down but when he ground his hip into the heat of her thighs, his erection rubbed against her. Ariana moaned and lost to him then gave up and let him do what he pleased with that sexy mouth of his.
After what felt like forever and barely enough time, they pulled apart gasping for air. His forehead resting on hers as their breath brushed eachother.
"Ariana." Jace groaned out her name which sent shivers down her making her more wet.
Ariana still wondered how Jace could make her feel weak at her knees and at the same time wanting to pull him to the nearest room, to the near anything so he could fuck her brains out like she had seen so many times on one of those pornos her teammates watched.
"I need to have you." Jace said still as breathless as her.
She smiled then.
It was on the tip of her tongue to say what ran in her mind but she'd have to surprise him. She thought.
She opened her eyes and looked into his.
"Soon." She said but silently promised herself she would bare her soul to this man tonight. She had never felt the way she felt about him for anyone before and she had withheld and ignored it for so long thinking it would pass but the more she waited, the more it grew and became stronger and very difficult to ignore.
She always asked herself why not? And the answer was always because it would pass and he wasn't worth screwing her job over. But recently, whenever she asked herself that same question, her answer came up blank.
Now she knew it was because she didn't have any valid reason to ignore her feelings for him. He started out to be a client she had to protect because it was her job but now he was so much more than a client. She didn't want to protect him because it was her job, she wanted to protect him because she was in love with him.
She was so in love with him and couldn't stand the thought of anything bad happening to him. She couldn't and wouldn't let anything happen to him.
She was going to tell him tonight. She was going to tell her husband that she loved him. She loved him so much it felt like she'd die because it engulfed her whole heart.
She smiled at him feeling a certain kind of happiness she never felt before. It was a new kind of happiness, she loved this feeling and never wanted it to go away.
She leaned down and kissed him, still in his arms.
"Have dinner with me tonight." He said
She grinned
"We have dinner together already." She said loving this new side of her.He smiled
"Yea but never a date."Her grin faded to a small shy smile.
"A dinner date?" She askedHe nodded.
"I know we can't go out for a while so it'll have to be in here. But I'll be doing the cooking.""You're going to cook for me?" She asked, surprised.
"I have cooked for you before." He said
"True." She couldn't get herself to stop smiling,
He sighed happily.
"I'll draw up a bath for you, get ready and come down in ninety minutes.""You're sending me away?" She asked as he let her slide down his body and to the ground. "What if I want to watch you cook?"
His eyes paused on her face.
"As much as I'd love to watch you watch me cook...another time sweetheart." He placed a kiss on her forehead and dragged her to the room upstairs to draw the bath he had promised so he could get started on dinner seeing as it was getting late.Ariana relaxed in the tub and let herself drift off for a while.
